    Re: Horn - 1986 GLHS

One relatively large gauge wire goes to the horn. The horn grounds to the body.

Jon has the ability to put things on the internet while they happen, so I'm guessing that may occur sometime around noon. I have to burn a chip and hope that the old computer didn't get fried during...

Jon trotter is here and in full effect. We now have a K frame, MC, right side suspension and brakes are close to done. I think it will mechanically make it there tomorrow.

I'm trying not to get ahead of myself. I'm also attempting to actually tighten everything properly. Nothing beats the time that someone arrived at my place with their freshly put together car, having...

    Re: Csx vnt #42

There is now an engine and trans in the car. I just need to hook everything up, fabricate some stuff, terminate everything on the harness, brakes, suspension, etc. I think I might eek this out.

I'm now in possession of a clutch. In the next 36 hours, I should be able to get the entire drive train, suspension, brake and electrical system back in the car with some sort of seats and steering...

Did some more wiring tonight. I have the engine pretty much ready to drop in. The clutch will be here on Thursday, so that should give me close to 48 hours. Plenty of time...

I made the bulk of the injector wiring harness tonight. I'm just waiting to get the engine in the car to terminate everything. I now know what Clark felt like while waiting on his bonus check. I just...

I now have a dash with everything needed to run the car hooked up with the exception of the column. No HVAC box in there at this time. I'm still waiting on a clutch to arrive, and then I'll be able...

That mount makes any sort of maintenance a real hassle. It really needs to be removed each time it's serviced.

Thanks for that info guys. I will probably leave it out. I've never seen any other 8v person use one, and there are many who have run the cars pretty darn hard.

I ordered up the stuff I need to...

I put the "new" wiring harness in today. By in, I mean that it's dangling everywhere of course. Are there replacement clips available which will hold it along the firewall? I need to splice in some...

How many hours does it take to do this? How much for these guys in materials? Depending on the answers to these questions, I may yet again be in the wrong business.

Good call. Although, nothing beats when Dusty Duster was seriously debating his attendance while living in the host city. I still laugh at Mike's reply to him in that thread.

I'll get a picture of the K frame when I'm in the garage today. It's just two pieces of plate welded to the K frame. It's honestly very similar to how the front motor mount bolts in.

This is the base piece of the mount which attaches to the back of the block. As you can clearly see, it's a modified stock piece.

ETA: I should have a clutch here soon from Chris. Since the Shelby rear mount doesn't allow for the engine and trans to go into the car very easily in a separate fashion, everything hinges on that...
