Hey guys,
First off I have a built a413 Trans made from 89 van internals, I had extra clutches added, Custom Shift kit, Higher line pressure, Accumulator removed and blocked, Valve body mods, I...
I know you've checked solenoids countless times but if the wastgate solenoid had it's venting barb clogged it would cause this.
I really don't think you'll be able to generate enough power to get a big enough a/c unit to run well enough to cool down your intake temps enough to make a difference. I forsee a slower heavier car...
Is there any knock retard going on? How's your FP?
leaky vac line? Clogged solenoid?
Looks like someone took the front facia off of a rampage and put it on the glhs. probably because they were fixing up a rampage and it is a common swap. (To put the glhs front end on the rampage...
vipers are crazy!
Good Q! while were at it how bout the 82's?
I have an interesting 82 I'dlike to know more about
I have an 88 fsm if you want me to send a picture, I had this exact problem the blue wire with the white tracer was the culprit, it connects the 2 smec connectors and the asd together (J2) I think. ...
I had the same problems, checked and cleaned all my alternator wiring, and I added a new ground directly from the alternator to the engine block, my alt has been rock solid ever since.
Yeah I feel your pain guys, $2500 into the tranny alone and no obx either! It does have all the other known a413 goodies though. Lot's into the motor and parts I have laying all around my house...
Yeah you can buy a lil controller for the faze gauges too that changes the face colors from blue to green maybe another as well.
So a new 89+ 120A alternator is an even trade for the pistons/rings?
How much altogether to ship the intake/rail setup to Ontario, Canada? Postal Code "K0L 1L0"
Thanks
No I turbocharged my A/C system!
Double check your timing, you may have moved or installed the dist a lil off.
oh yeah it'll still boost, it'll also make lots of noise and overspin the turbo big time. Unless of course your tiny mitsu is rusted enough and covered in enough crud to keep it together! LoL
I...
I lost the clamp on my turbo, and didnt leak any oil or coolant. All it did leak was boost and or possibly exhaust hard to tell the difference at 15 psi 4000rpm. It's happened to many people.
I just put a chin spoiler off an 88 shelby z on my 89 base model, all the mounting holes fit perfectly. All except for the part that connects under the air dam. A lil trimming and your golden.
They are meant for race cars, I dont think having all those panels would be legal on the street. But Im sure with some thinking you could adapt all the parts to work.
Yes to both.

You could have lost the v-clamp on your mitsu turbo, happened to me a few times now. Thats the clamp that holds the compressor section on the turbo.
loose or corroded wiring in the back stop/signal/parking lights.

That's what I did with my gauges.
The wiring problem is most likely in the injector harness, or near the connector to it, I think this cuz you say one of them does fire intermittently, and you said the problem didnt start until after...
