Sounds like the new one will be with this design as well. Hopefully I can get dimensions of one without pulling mine.
Series 1
Not sure about the cross member, I'd have to look, but I'll say for this purpose though it shouldn't matter, as it shouldn't change the general dimensions/mounting points right?
It's allot to ask, but is it possible for you to create a drawing with measurements we can use to create a new one?
Yep, just the frame. Don't need any of the suspension, etc with it.
Does anyone know of any extra engine cradles or have one out of the car they can do measurements on?
I'm looking to duplicate it for a project.
Thanks!
OK, so how do you want to get paid!! :)
I'd take at least two.
I've had #16 for just over two years now and put approx 500 miles on it. Got it at 16xx and it now has 2154. I'm not winning any mileage races :)
Yea, that's what I'm using now. Was hoping there was a better fitting one. I guess it's time to get a custom one made. Not like it's going anywhere :)
Has anyone found a good fitting car cover? I've now tried three different ones and can seem to find one that fits well. My next step is just getting a custom one made.
LOL, I'm not going to be the one to argue that in court :)
Of course they do call it a Park Loc in the instructions.....
It would, of course they warn that it's not intended to be a parking brake. It would hold pressure till you hit the pedal again (or something fails).
The ones Karyn has one the vette are flip valves. Once it's switched to LOCK, it stays there till she switches it back (it takes electric to flip them, but not to hold). So a line-lock setup like...
If anyone has seen the latest issue, they must have seen John's letter and the article with the Barbie car in it!
Nice letter John, and not a bad article from them about the GTP.
psshhh, what, 2 hrs of work? 😄
I'm taking a guess. Port of LA show?
July 15-17 (Thur-Sun). My first time going to Carlisle was last year and it was overwhelming how big the show actually is. Planning on showing up early Fri morning this time.
I've reserved my room and put my vacation request in. Anyone else going?
I have Agreed at 40k with State Farm
Thanks for the writeup. I'm going to be tackling both windows in about a week and now I can add bracing them as well.

It's nice to know people can regurgitate opinions of former writers and then call it their own. I seriously doubt this writer has seen, let alone driven, any of the cars in this article. If you want...
I work at a printer, so if you want to send it over I can scan, print and have them bound for everyone......
Let's see if i did this right....

Hey, i did something right!!!!
I know exactly what you mean. I get that at every show which is why i made the display. It cut down the oh so common "kit car" questions.
I'll upload a picture of it....
