I'll be attempting to fit the stock hood. I already removed a bit of the inner framing on the hood above the turbos, so they should clear but the IC tube going into the throttlebody on the passenger...

Thanks for the comments! It's been a long road, but I'm getting sooo close to having it done, I can taste it.
The rad is a Griffin 1-26201-X (link below). The price was decent (about $170 when...
Tis been a while, but progress has been happening. Life came up, and ended up not touching the car between July and February, so he's an update:
The pictures were taken with my 6yr old smart...
Finally got my pics posted (previous post). I have the headers, up-pipes, downpipes and external wastegates done. In the process of pulling everything apart and tig welding them all solid. I had to...

Pics coming soon. Everytime I post them or links to them I get 403 Forbidden / blocked from TM for 12hrs or so.
Thank you! Trying to keep at it. Hoping to have it done before the end of summer.
As for progress, received my Daytona ebrake cables, and have been fabbing the cable mounts and such (no pics of...
Been really busy these last few weeks. Picked up most of the parts I need to finish the project. New wiring harness, new light connectors, 3" exhaust cat and muffler, oil filter relocation stuff, an...
What were his heads running? Are they the 3.3L Beehive springs with LS1 Locks / Retainers? I see BM is gone, so I can't refer to the head thread that you guys had running on there. I'm also curious...
Alright - I've got the engine yanked so I can start building my headers, so I snapped a few more pictures, and to answer the questions:
Ondonti: The top bracket is a piece of 1" square tube...
I'll take more pictures - but basically all I did was heavily modify the clutch arm, made a bracket for where the clutch cable usually runs, and found a universal pull-type clutch master and slave...
Digging up this old thread. I'm just gonna leave this here :)

Hydraulic clutch and 1st of the 2 turbos is mocked and mounted.
Car is still in the shop, but this is what I did:

Made a cover for the spare tire well, and a 3" raised box...
Used OEM Subaru Bypass valves can be had for cheap, are pretty leak resistant and are good to over 20lbs. Could be option at least for the price conscience.
Definitely not. Providing any grass doesn't grow up into it, and nothing takes up home inside, you should be good. That POR-15 is fantastic stuff, that's for sure.
Be nice to the Scooby.
If it's the same bugeye WRX wagon you posted pics of earlier, tell him to go easy on his tranny. Those 5speeds they put behind the EJ205s are sensitive. Many people put a...
Just a note though - your catch can for PCV should be between the front VC and the intake. That way, raw oil won't be getting into the compressor side of your turbo / into your charged air.
PCV is a flow system from rear head to front head. The front is usually attached to a vacuum source -- the PCV valve itself is screwed into the lower intake, and on the NA motor would always give...
Does it hit 8 and slowly climb higher? If so, you have boost creep. Could mean your wastegate isn't big enough, or it's not opening as much as it needs.
If it Hits 9, 10, etc, then comes back down...
Don't know about anyone else, but I found the Bosch plugs made the throttle response feel quicker in the summer, but in the winter could be harder to start. It seemed as though they burnt hotter even...
A 1 pull vs 1 pull dyno comparison is a bad idea anyways - as variances in engine temp, oil temp, intake temp, atmospheric pressure, etc, could make up the 8hp difference between 2 pulls.
If you're not going to get the heads milled, take a razor blade from a utility knife (Just the blade!) and make sure there is no gunk or left over gasket pieces on both the head and the deck. Be...
The order, which is off the top of my head goes like this if I remember correctly: this is while looking AT the head
(5)(1)(4)(8)
(6)(2)(3)(7)
As said - I'm going from memory, but I think...
Yup, you can reuse our headbolts. Just be prepared to find an allen socket, and short extension. Cannot remember the size.
Did you figure out what your low boost problem was? Leak or wastegate?
