Jeff, it is there on turbo models for a shield for the oil cap opening. This baffle changed locations on NA cars depending on where the oil cap was located.

The very early 2.2's did have studs not bolts. They used a lower torque setting than the bolts. I've seen 150 & 165 inch lbs. listed in publications. The bolt torque listing I've mostly seen is 215...
Jeff,
Yep confirmed with my Rampage buddy, the Charger, Scamp, and Rampage are interchangeable.
Jeff 4 dr. Omni is different. The 90 Omni is slightly different than the previous years too. The A pillar (external area) changed between the 83 and 84 Rampage/Scamp.
As far as I know the interior A...
So in other words, when the vehicle sees a high load the car bogs down or loses power? I agree with you, it doesn't sound like tranny issues. I'd be looking at a fuel system related or exhaust (cat)...
Huh?:confused2: righteously reversed.:drum:

Glad you had success getting the broken fitting out:thumb:. FYI- The factory line isn't rubber, but silicone. It's as pliable today as it was when it was new. To answer your question, the back side...
Picture of all parts for coolant feed. This will fit all 84-87 TI & all TII applications. Will NOT fit 88+ T1 2.2/2.5 Mitsubishi turbo applications. Those used different fitting, and tube assembly. I...
With all that weight on it, if that pipe would have been brass, it would have broken off a long time ago. That is WAY too much leverage working on those thin threads.
Well silver lining, it is...
Johny, looking at the picture it looks like the 26995 Comp spring. BTW Comp Cams makes WAY more than two beehive springs.
If you have a caliper or some measuring device, the CC 26995 spring has OD...
Chris, having just dealt with fitting a GTX Gen II turbo on a 8V, there is a lot to do fabricating. Some of the issues on the swingvalve side is making the swingvalve efficient, AND having the v-band...
Jeff, pics added see post #32. Second picture is about how it must be used in car to clear the upper plenum of the two piece.
Here is that zerk fitting installed on a 86+ distributor. 1/4x28 pitch is typical zerk fitting thread. Fitting is actually tapered. I drilled on back side of distributor so it really can't be seen....
Jeff I'll snap a couple pics of the shortened KD tool next to a standard sized one. Look for it tomorrow.

I shortened one of the KD tools a couple inches and it worked on a 2 piece intake (86 GLHS). It can be done on the car, but it is takes a while to do. If you try on the car Jeff make sure the piston...
Thanks for the link and your info.
Looking to modify a TII black air cleaner box for a larger outlet (mating to a DBB turbo). Trying to identify the type of plastic that was used on these, so I can plastic weld larger outlet on it....
I agree, did you disturb or remove any of the bottom four studs that hold the exhaust manifold on? Those four studs penetrate the coolant (water) jacket. See black circled holes in first picture. Red...
There is a small cavity in the middle of the distributor shaft housing for grease to fill. I rebuild distributors each time I go through a complete engine build. It is sort of tough to get the grease...
I remember MP catalog had a forged or billet version of the distributor end. Yes, that is a weird failure for sure. Did you remove the oil pump and cover and check for anything that went through the...
The factory never used cork on the early valve covers, only the aftermarket did. They used the rubber seals on the short ends, and gray RTV along the front and back "long" ends. I NEVER EVER use...
Try Greg T. @ Omni-Potent.com. Brian T. and Greg used to sell them. IIRC, their's were aluminum. I've made my own using flat bar steel. EZ to make if you have a drill press and something to cut the...
