  1. Re: Different part numbers the SBEC2 PCB board

Sorry I have done near zero on the SMEC other than a socketed one last weekend so I can bench test new products.
Here is what I collected from Rob L on the 87 LM for what it is worth.

I believe I have three EFI engine harness, let's see what mess I can make. Brian B gave me a good suggestion to use brand new wire for the sensor inputs

Upgrading 87 CSX LM/PM to SBEC

I have started the LM/PM to SBEC upgrade of my CSX as I need to remove the dash to fix the heat in the car. Why not do both while it is apart?

I am planning to pull the wires from the LM back into...

Re: replacing injector drivers in SBEC/2

Yes the board can support both, look like it is the driver chip (a TO-220 package) and 62 ohm resistor. I hope to verify this over the next month or so
We use the peak and hold for the low impedance...
  7. Group buy--60 way female connectors for ECU plug

60 way female connectors for plug. The female pin are getting tough to find but available in bulk packs. I have seen them on ebay as high as $8 per pin!!
We need to purchase a minimum of 1000 for...
  8. Re: Different part numbers the SBEC2 PCB board

So sorry but I cannot see the pictures??

Here are a few links to info on the LM and I am certain you will see similarities. I do on the SBEC/SBEC2
TurboSOB send me this the other day.

    I...

    replacing injector drivers in SBEC/2

Have you replaced injector drivers in your SBEC or SBEC2?
I developed an easy procedure to get them off the board that I will write up shortly.
First does any one know what to replace these with. ...

According to my reading Rob L. mentions that it is used in creating PWM.

  13. Re: Gauging interest in a new high capacity LM/SMEC/SBEC/SBEC2 flash module

The current BB flash is quite fast at approx 10 seconds or so.. According to datasheet, the new modern flash that I intend to use should be significantly faster but Wowzer is the expert on that front.

    Jeff,
Good luck, I assume you will also need the transistors for the H bridge to drive the TII AIS. I have 87 pseudo schematics for the LM and PM. LMK via PM if you wish to have a copy

    Electronics Re: WTB: 87 LMs

This is alarming... I think I will switch the CSX to SBEC so I can carry a spare LM and PM in my Sundance DD until I have time to change it.
Brian, could the issue be a corrupt EPROM, perhaps...

    Re: SMEC tbi to turbo

    Hi Brian,
I added the missing NPN transistors which appeared to have a similar beta to a 2N2222. A few missing Resistors as well.
But the OP is looking at the SMEC.

  24. Re: Gauging interest in a new high capacity LM/SMEC/SBEC/SBEC2 flash module

Morris, yes our new SCI adapter has voltage protection on the Rx line. It can handled 21V without a problem.
  25. Re: Gauging interest in a new high capacity LM/SMEC/SBEC/SBEC2 flash module

This new module will replace the EPROM so it will need to be socketed and it also uses the extra four programming pins.
So a 28 pin 87C257 in the SBEC will be replaced with a 32pin flash module....
