How much more thickness do you need? Can you use a shim between the flywheel and crank?
I used this in mine. Car isn't back on the road though. If you read the reviews on Lowe's site, they are all from using it as sound deadener. lol ...
^^Same here. Switched from a sprung hub to unsprung hub with the same pp/disc combo, couldn't tell a difference.
Yes, that setup is wrong. It should have a boost line from the compressor to the lower port and top port open or going to a boost controller. The blow off valve should just be hooked to manifold...
^^This is good to hear!
I swapped away from the unequal length axles several years ago in my Shadow and my SC.
Yeah, I agree with Gary. I just did a comp test on mine this weekend. It's freshly rebuilt, but with slightly lower comp ratio. It was 125 on all 4. This is with a tbi cam.
I have to agree with you about seats in newer cars. My girlfriend has a '04 Solara sport v6, the seats kill my lower back on long trips. But my '88 shadow es seats are much more comfortable.
Thanks for the info everyone. That's just the info I was looking for. After seeing the srt forum links, I think I'll be trying a .48 stage 3 on my 2.4 when it ges back together also.
No particular hp goal yet I know the super 60 can put down some good power, but it's smoking pretty bad, so I'm debating just upgrading. I may try to rebuild it first just to see how far I can push...
I'm looking to upgrade to a T3/T04e 50 super 50 trim with a .48 stage 2 housing. Car is mostly a DD and trying to keep a quick spool. I had one with a .68 stage 2 ball bearing on my shadow and it ran...
I just looked it up. They're rated 17city and 24 highway. That's pretty crummy.
I forgot to update this. I found that there is an adjustment knob on the back of the circuit board. It took me about 6 tries, but I got it within about 30 rpm.
The tach in my 85 sc reads bout 2-300 rpm high at 2100-2200 rpm. Haven't checked it at any other rpm's yet. Are their any fixes for this? Is this a issue with the tach board/driver?
What should be the starting point for the installed centerline for a tbi cam be? Getting ready to degree one in. 2.2 T2 super 60, big big valve head heavily ported, TU header, 3 inch exh, modded 1 pc...
I got my pump from RockAuto for about $40 IIRC.
I thought someone had made some of these one time. But I would be interested in some for an a568 also. I wonder if they could be made on a 3D printer?

How about these?
Thanks.
Pm sent for L body and P body overlays.
Yeah, I'm aware of all the clearances to check. Just looking for what opening and closing rates are recommended for this cam.
Thanks. I'll check it out.
So what springs are recommended for the R5 cam? I will be trying one out soon and need to know what specs for springs.
