Tension it with the correct tool.
The basics such as the info on Gary Donavan’s page, SLH brake upgrades, Russ Kinzie’s pages etc should be linked or copied.
Libertys Gears mad a higher ratio fifth gear.
Look for flocked gaskets. They are steel core with some fuzzy material on the outside to take up space.
There should be round nylon inserts with the new expansion valve. The inserts press into those recesses and help hold the gasket in place.
A Failed fusible link will cause the alternator not to charge the battery.
If the system has been open for a while (years), plan on replacing the evaporator. When left open, the evaporator gets full of dirt. The dirt absorbs moisture and rots out the evaporator.
Check the fusible links.
I have the FM AFPR on my van, it came with the FM engine. It still works and seems to be holding pressure. No leaks either!
