Great build so far, are you starting to work on...
Great looking Shadow. I wish mine was a pre-1990 model, the styling is way more subtle on the earlier ES's. It looks like a fun car.
Are you installing a manual controller or an electronic one?
Looking good so far, nice patch work on the floor.
Here's one I saw at a local meet, but he definitely had to make his own adapter plate and modify the intake plenum. I'm going to agree with turismolover and say there isn't a kit readily available.
...
Also remembered that this is an SBEC car and my van was SMEC so it'll be run stock for a while until I can get a modified SBEC set up for it.
Thanks for the comments guys.
So it turns out being in school leaves no time for projects.
I finally got started this past week by pulling the engine from my Caravan. I got that rear engine van...
Sad to see a clean shell going to scrap but I know sometimes you just need stuff gone.
Can't save them all unfortunately.
On the other hand, the Horizon is coming along very nicely.
Wow that's a nice looking GLH. Did you find it right in Edmonton?
Hope to see it in Red Deer in May!
Not mine, only wish it had been. Spotted this ultra clean ACR on our way through Idaho last year. No one else understood why I was excited over a pale blue sedan...

I like the idea of keeping the stock plastic SRT intake cover, I don't see them reused on swaps too often.
Great project so far.
Sad to see it like that but awesome to know it'll be taken care of again. Great find.
I was just looking at that one on Kijiji. Great looking car, congrats.
From Wikipedia:
"...in 1983, Chrysler Canada added a Caravelle version of the Dodge 400 2-door coupe. Thus the Caravelle came in three sizes based on three platforms - K, E and M."

I built it. It's another ignition coil mounted under the van with a single plug wire running to a spark plug near the end of the exhaust. It's wired with a switch into the main coil trigger wire so...
Just realized that this isn't a Spirit anymore. Yeesh.
You'd think the color change would have tipped me off.
Unbelievable work so far by the way. I can't imagine how it feels to drive that car.
Great looking engine bay. The saggy L-body hoods make me smile.
Awesome thread so far. You've got an amazingly clean L-body and the Shadow is a beauty too.
I'm always impressed when I see someone making steady progress as I'm terrible at actually working on my...
Hi guys,
Thought I should start a build thread as I finally get moving on my next project.
It's a 1990 Shadow ES, 2 door, 2.5 turbo, manual trans car that I picked up for a few bucks to save it...
It's talked about in this video starting at about 6:15.
Great video by the way if you have time to watch all of it.

Took me a while to find this thread, but here it is:
'89 Caravan SE Turbo, auto. Picked it up locally for $300 about 6 years ago and have been slowly changing it ever since. It has a rebuilt 2.5...
This one maybe?

I can't imagine there are 2 in the world...
It was at Heavy Metal auto wreckers near Trochu a couple of years back. Good chance it's still there.
Last I saw someone had left the window open in the winter time......
I've got more of these than I realized. It's kinda sad. Not all Shelbys but still...
Iroc R/T, donated to college=no VIN, unable to register, no drivetrain left....
I have never ridden in another Holset powered car but I am really happy with the spool. If you leave it on low boost it spools slow but the first time I opened the turbo up to some higher boost I was...
