Finally starting a thread for my AWD '87 GLHS project, a very slow process. Will try to keep everything organized and making as much sense as possible. I'm also wanting to make a video series but...
First post to this thread in a while, hopefully gets a useful response. So is it confirmed that someone here has a 91/92 AWD diff the has large bearings on both sides? I have one from a 1995 Town and...
Would be nice to reposition/replace the relays too and just have everything in one spot.
Can someone direct me to the mod for deleting fusible links using a tipm? Wanting to replace the links with fuses and relays.
Also got the rear diff out of the 95 t&c I picked up, can't get the damn thing open to count teeth, but found a tag on it that read out 3494 so I assume that could be the gear ratio. Problem was that...
No idea.
Looking to stick with ChryCo parts outside of custom fabbed bits.
Could be in a different thread, but not really diluting this one at all.
Could you contact those that have dibs? I'm trying to move forward with this project asap.
Ok, what about an asking price so I can gauge that versus what I might spend getting the part/s myself? There's a van near me that I've been trying to buy that has the front end parts that I need to...
Do you or anyone else here have a spare one I can buy? I can buy it brand new, but it wouldn't be cheap.
Also the 2001+ rear diff I was looking at fell through. I didn't want to go through with...
Looks good, just need to know what that third mounting arm would bolt to, and how I should route the cables.
That's too bad. I'm sure I'll figure something out. Thanks though.
I didn't see them, could you please post a direct link?
I already expected to need some adapter plates.
There are roughly four adapter plates that I need. Part 2, 8, maybe 10 if it is separate from 8 ( https://gyazo.com/d9708f5513662f17d8fd815d364d6a39 ) and the retainer plate pictured here (...
I'm pretty sure I'm going to need the calipers that have the e-brake built in to them due to the build that I'm doing.
If I'm remembering correctly my reasoning for the e-brake built into the caliper choice was that I was planning on using the front hubs and spindles/knuckles from my charger in the AWD conversion....
89 Daytona ES rotor drum style.
Just about placed an order for the rear diff from a 2001 Chrysler Town & Country. Supposedly its grade A, but it's coming from Rhode Island so I'm expecting rust, but hey they only want $290 total,...
I have a set of rear discs for the SLH3 conversion, but off the top of my head I don't remember what vehicle they came off of or what style of ebrake it is. Just thinking Shelby Daytonas and LeBaron...
You selling off your parts?
Geez, just a little bit of research is revealing quite a bit. For example, the plate that attaches the ptu to the trans fits 341 Chrysler vehicle varients from 1991-2012. Finding the parts looks...
Is there a Chrysler brand brake system that has the ebrake built into the caliper, or where the rotor is also a drum for the ebrake? I am most interested in the first type if it exists.
Currently trying to search through https://www.factorychryslerparts.com/ to find the parts that I need. Mostly certain individual pieces. Considering the fact that I am basically doing the same build...
