  1. Re: I need to borrow a DRBIII ... Anyone in SE Michigan have one?

Special thanks to shackwrr and 89CarvanFan for helping me get the Jeep going again!
  2. Re: I need to borrow a DRBIII ... Anyone in SE Michigan have one?

    Thanks guys. PM's sent...
  3. I need to borrow a DRBIII ... Anyone in SE Michigan have one?

I bought a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee for my oldest son to drive. And, the battery died and killed the SKIM module. I need a DRBII (I think) to reset it and get it to recognize the (lone) key I have...

    Re: Advance gauge reads high

Also, I think CalculatedSparkAdvacne is a signed value. Meaning bit 7 is the sign, not an actual value. I don't remember how the gauge is setup to read it in MPScan...

    Re: Advance gauge reads high

Just looking real quick, the LM does some stuff with the 'CalculatedSparkAdvance' AFTER it's calculated and before it actually uses the value for ignition.

    There's "MXSPK1_MaxSparkAdvanceUknown1"...

I'll take a look at it. What am I looking at? IE, what value are you logging?

Sticky: Re: MPTune non Turbonator cals

Morris, I think you can just run those 2 cals thru my latest dis-assmbler (using my symbol file and table templates) and it will make the .mpt files for you. Pretty much completely...
  9. Re: cold idle hunting (goes crazy lean) & iat rwads 102º on scan tool all the time.

If a zener fixed it, and all the OB settings are FF, then it must be another MAP issue. Baro solenoid still there?

Re: Tuning help for a TIII using MPTune

Boost vs. speed is already there. It's mainly used for automatics and flat for manuals, but you can add data points and setup a curve...

Re: Tuning help for a TIII using MPTune

The difference is the switch type. In the '92+ it's a resistance switch. I could never get switchable boost to work with that in any SBECII...
  12. Re: cold idle hunting (goes crazy lean) & iat

You FF'd all 4 overboost values, then you're not hitting overboost. You're hitting a limp mode rev limiter (the rev limiter rand OB are the same routine and shutdown method).

  13. Re: cold idle hunting (goes crazy lean) & iat rwads 102º on scan tool all the time.

There was an issue with my early GLHS code that I think did what you describe (I don't remember for sure, but it was an idle issue).

You should update it to the latest .asm -...

Sticky: Re: MPTune non Turbonator cals

The Masi cal was mostly done. Maybe as kRob M. to post my old files. There were only a couple of tables that were unique to the Masi that made it difficult to 'port' over to the Turbonator SMEC code.

    Re: Turbonator SMEC codebase

In the SMEC, that's right. It just blocks the CEL, not the code.

To mask the code you have to follow the instructions in the .tpl file (they don't display in MP Tune)...

Yes, I made several. The codebase is on my Google drive.

Though, the last Turbonator version still had some odd issues occasionally (like a random misfire). I did race it a few times, though. Ran...

    Re: '94 Jeep Cherokee Tuning

I think the only thing that needs to change is the chip ID code, and the size of the ROM file. Should be easy to do and then just use the ECUFlash program you made.
  22. Re: Soldering socket and installing flashable module

Nothing. It's not actually connected to anything on the board (on the SMEC board, anyway)...

  24. Re: The inaccuracy of HEP and distributor is causing you to lose power.

But, the problem of slop in the distributor relates to the timing of the HEP signal. Not the ignition timing itself. The distributor contacts are together for a relatively long crank angle - they...
  25. Re: Soldering socket and installing flashable module

Whoa! You don't need both of those for the SMEC. The 3-chip module is the SMEC flash module.

The 2nd board is a latch board. You only need that for the SBEC. And, in fact, I'm pretty sure...
