    Re: logging with mpscan question

Been a while since I've used it,but iirc I had to start the recording, then start the car.

Re: 1984 Turbo for Stock Eliminator

If rules allow, do some work on the throttle body for sure. Either way, having the ais open 100% at high throttle wouldn't hurt.

    Re: Weather strippings.

The foam seal can be separated from the colored piece that attaches to the pinch weld. Might check out metro mmp for something that's the same profile as the foam seal and glue it to the colored...

Check valve near the brake booster is not working properly, or there is a small vacuum leak in the system after the check valve. Having it on recirculation puts additional strain on the hvac vacuum...

    Re: Turbonator T3

I used the stock cal that's in the calibration thread and scaled it for 3bar & +40s. It worked just fine for a baseline. If anything it felt snappier at part throttle out of boost compared to the...

    Re: GLHS 937 Restoration Project

I don't see why that gearset wouldn't fit in a 520/555 case. I recall a guy with a really nice GLHS in the northeast...Marcus in CT maybe...that had Cliff Ramsdell build a 525 with a 555 input shaft...

    MP Flash switch setups

Does anyone have examples of the switch setup they've built for their switch to change between calibrations? I've been kicking around the idea of using a smallish project box to house the switch...

    Re: Trans rebuild parts availability

I recall that rear roller bearing was a pretty spendy piece the last time I rebuilt a 568, pretty sure I spent north of $100 10 years ago. Everything else was easy & relatively inexpensive.

    Re: TIII Reserve tank “issue”

The TIII coolant tanks were similar to the others of the early 90s, it attached to the cooling fan housing/shroud. It wouldn't attach easily to the GLHS style metal shroud.

I remember oggling that LeBaron at SETI circa 2001. I wonder if it's still sitting around?

    Re: Fuel Air ratio changes.

Yup, if the intent is to simply get the distributor in a good spot for setting timing, having the rotor point at the 10:30 position is perfect. I've found if the rotor points at the #1 spark plug...

Re: Hose from Crankcase Separator to intake

It can be done w/o pulling the intake. The new hose is just a slip fit, putting a small amount of lube on it will help it slide offer the nipple on the block.

If you decide to pull the intake, no...

    Re: Cooling issues

Wow, that's a lot of open space with those holes, Wayne! I was only drilling a single 1/8" hole in my t-stats since that is the smallest drill bit I own. On one unit I used a small trim nail to...

That's roughly how I did a light port on my old intake. There was a large mismatch in the shape of the runners which caused a step for the airflow to overcome when entering the lower portion. I had...

My R/T does the same temp swing with an undrilled t-stat. Rises to 193/194, drops quickly to 165-170ish, rinse & repeat in cool weather. The dash gauge reflects the change as well. I chalked it up...

    Re: T3 exhaust manifold

I know it's possible, at least with the engine out of the car. I'm sure it's doable with it in the car, but difficult. I have a turbo on a TIII manifold that I can't get the nuts to break loose, so...
