Re: Water Pumps - lets have a dscussion !

I bet it has the wrong pump. This thing has always tended to run hot.

Re: Water Pumps - lets have a dscussion !

89 I assume. I don't think I've ever replaced it since I bought the car. With the belt on the top side of the smooth pulley, wouldn't it rotate counter-clockwise instead of clockwise?

Re: Water Pumps - lets have a dscussion !

Bumping this again... I feel like I should know this, but do the 89 and later pumps rotate the opposite direction? Maybe I've had cooling problems with my 89 CSX because I have the wrong pump? I was...

    Re: A Ford?!?

I bought it at my local dealer, and they have a lifetime powertrain warranty, so long as you can prove you serviced it at the recommended intervals. They prefer you do have it done there, but there's...

    A Ford?!?

My dad's a Ford guy, so he's probably happy. After really needing another vehicle for a while, we pulled the trigger and last week bought a '16 Fusion with the 2.0L turbo. We drove it from IL to...

    Re: Which pistons for this?

For future reference... If anyone needs new TII small end rod bushings for stock size wrist pins (0.901"), the only ones I found are Crower part # 90901-1. They are a perfect fit.

    Re: Which pistons for this?

I think they are, but that's just the only ones I see so far that mention floating pins. I'm only looking for stock power out of this.

    Which pistons for this?

I'm having trouble figuring out which pistons to get that will work with what I've got. Several questions below, but I'm trying to figure out what I need to order, so I can get this back on the road....
  10. Transmission Re: A460 transmission, parts, or compatible transmission

Hi, welcome to t-m. I have an A460 I'd like to get rid of. It's been sitting in the garage for years, ever since I pulled it from a Rampage project that never got completed.

I can test with LM in my '87 CSX. I was going to try it later today, but I guess I need to wait for the next version?

    Re: SDAC 27 BS Thread

Is this the thread to ask what Cordes was wearing today?
  14. Re: UNoffical SDAC 27 Swap Meet/Parts Wanted thread

I'm bringing one of the large '89 CSX-VNT prints from the Shelby factory wall that was on eBay a while back. I really just wanted one of them, but I ended up with both.

I also have a nice newly...

Yes, that's it. The additional work they mention is that it includes no provisions for mounting. You either have to glue some studs in appropriate places inside the front and/or use double-sided trim...

I have some of the door pieces but not the actual ground effects. The oil caps were from Positive Impressions,I think. The stock cap was just black plastic over a metal base.

For Sale 1986 600 ES convertible turbo [not mine]

  24. Re: Need advice after overheating the *newly rebuilt* SRT4 last night :(

  25. Re: Need advice after overheating the *newly rebuilt* SRT4 last night :(

Yeah, the time from when the temp gauge first started to rise until it pegged or near pegged was maybe 2-3 minutes. Time it was pegged until I shut it off was, I think, only around 10-15 seconds. I'm...
