did this sell?
Will you be offering a spacer to use it in a auto?
I would really make this work for the neon community, if anything just to get the pricing down (not that its bad). There is way more neon guys then us.
I will be following this! Ive had two of them stashed away for ten years waiting for a good controller.
If you have all the parts could you sell a kit? Of course we would need a how-to or directions also so that may be just as time consuming. I would be interested in a kit if it was available.
So you never said what you are doing for a ecu, and the pics are all dead. So... what are you doing? You mentioned a distributor adaptor so I'm assuming stock stuff. Did it run okay off a stock ECU...
Do you have any more pictures?
I believe so. I had some bad noises coming from my DOHC 2.0 neon when I started the new motor and did the same as you. I was told that was normal.
Was it Brent or Kyle that cursed you and asked if you had problems with axles breaking right before it broke?
There isnt much. Really your best bet would be to find a "performance" TM in a JY and rob its springs/sways and use new struts. Or find someone parting one. A Shelby Z, CSX, ect. I believe you can...
Should be the same as a spirit R/T I would think. Both are AA body cars.
Old thread but will still add this...
I haven't seen it in TM's but have seen this in a couple neons. No matter what the bolts come loose. New bolts, hardware store bolts at that and no more...
Any price break on buying just the parts? Not that there is anything wrong with your welding. Im just a fabricator by trade and like to do as much as I can myself.
Looks similar to the Bosch that WAS on my hahn-kit neon. Not the same, mine is from a 3000gt. It worked fine for a long time, but a spike to 10psi killed it. I think it had a 0-ring in it that blew...
Man that looks GOOD! My first TM was a white 88 ES, so Im a sucker for these.
so why the booster swap and what is it from?
Could you use a auto flexplate and a neon or SRT4 modular type clutch? If that would work it may be your cheapest option. Tons of clutch options too.
I have a set of 2g R/T springs Id sell. They dont lower the car at all but are stiffer then stock. I do not know how much. SRT perches are only higher in the rear, front is the same from what I...
Back when I first got into these cars I had a 88 shadow ES that developed a very similar issue. Under boost it would cutout right around 4k. When it was cold it wouldn't do it near as bad so I...
Where the switch plugs into the assembly? That may be it. I think I used the old ones with the new switch. It was cooked when I pulled it apart. Last I looked at rock auto that switch was $77. Back...
I daily my 89 CSX and in the past two years Ive melted the blower motor switch. Twice now. The first time I thought it was a fluke, so I got a minty switch from a JY and swapped it in. That lasted...
I ended up using a big pair of vice grips. Seemed to work good.
Whats the best way to install the little rivets that hold the window guide clips on a P/H/AA body? Ive been just crimping them with pliers but they are always a little loose. Installing new ones on...
Lately I've really been wanting to build a V8 turbo car but the budget won't allow it so I just read lots of build threads and drool lol.
But I've noticed something. The guys running blow through...
