    Re: building a rwd daytona

It was just sketched out on a piece of notebook paper, I don't think I kept it.

    Re: building a rwd daytona

Thanks, it was quite a project. Kenny fabricated the front crossmember and the rear subframe to my specs. It uses a Mustang rack, just because they're cheap and readily available. The rear end is...

I have more pics, but I don't think they'd help you much, the rear axle of my project is a little different from yours. Still, if you decided to run some braces back that far it wouldn't be hard to...

    I used this.

    It's just 3 inch C Channel.

It fits perfectly over the existing rails. I also filled the rockers with structural foam. It was a little pricey but worth it in my opinion.

    Re: building a rwd daytona

Kenny Exline at www.exlinecustomauto.com used to build them. Last time I talked to him he wasn't planning on making any more, but you could always ask. He does excellent work.

    Here's the build...

Re: My first Turbo Mopar -- 88 Lebaron !!!

Yea, as I remember the tweets in the dash are together with the door speakers. You can use regular speakers with the existing wiring, you just have to pick the right 2 wires out of the harness. I...

Re: My first Turbo Mopar -- 88 Lebaron !!!

If there's a lot of slop in the steering, check the bolts that hold the rack to the K frame, sometimes they tend to work loose.

The door and rear speakers are all 5 1/4". Depending on which stereo...

Start at www.thedodgegarage.com. It's a great site that has all the turbo Mopar basics and more.

There actually were a few factory intercooled Lebarons, but they're pretty rare. The J body...

Re: My first Turbo Mopar -- 88 Lebaron !!!

I guess it all depends on what you to spend, and how much work you want to do. You've got a driveline with 100+K on it, so slamming a bunch of boost to it isn't great for reliability. If it was mine,...

    Thanks, much appreciated.

You're right about the O/D. With a 3:23 gear I run about 75@2K with the converter locked, very highway friendly. Without having a computer I just have to remember to...

    Re: Lebaron convertible top replacement

Yea, I did mine once. Once. Don't think I'd ever do it again. It was a probably 10 or more years ago, but as I remember it took me a few weeks to get it right. I bought the best top I could find at...

    Re: Lebaron rear spoiler
