The mount does not look to be bolted down, but only resting by gravity. Wont it just hop out under load? How is the mount secured?

NO. You can do anything that you want with your VIN including swaping the tags to a new body if it is accurate. What is illegal is stating that it is a 10K mile oringinal GLHS Omni and getting six...
