Re: Big brakes for my Laser, Help!

That's all very easy. I cover the process in a couple videos. I posted two of them, but there are more covering the process. Bottom line is you want knuckles off of a 91+ car, and you'll have to...

Re: How to determine Fuel pump health.

Interesting. I'll block mine off totally when I install the next one.

Re: The Shelby CSX-VNT Owner's Thread

Does anyone have a picture of a cutaway of a Fiberride showing the middle of the wheel and how it looks in real life? I was looking over the patent tonight and I find it very interesting.

Re: How to determine Fuel pump health.

Thanks for the links. I'll have to think about that for the future. Although, if the pump requires that much pressure, the flow is going to drop off significantly. IIRC there is a graph on here...

Re: PSA: Check you connectors thoroughly

Oh, those are pretty horrible in the long run. I've had several make questionable connections over the years.

So, the Deutsche connector failed if I'm reading that correctly?

Re: How to determine Fuel pump health.

Yes, around 100PSI. Any pump I've had trouble with wouldn't make 90PSI for sure. I think the high pressure Walbro units have a relief at between 90 and 100PSI, but I've pegged gauges before too.

I pinch the return line and it usually tells the tale IMO.

Rob hasn't been around in a long while. I think he sold off all of his TM stuff.

Something like this might help keep the drill aligned.

    Re: Cooling issues

I doubt T stat technology has progressed much in the last 3 decades. I wonder if I should start testing mine before installation? What a pain.

    Re: Cooling issues

I have done away with the 180* T stats for daily drivers. My CSX has a stock 195* unit with no hole I've drilled, and there isn't a bleed hole in this model like I've seen before either. Your idea...

    Re: Cooling issues

My 89 CSX has been doing this, but it rides very low, then goes up to normal before dropping faster than physically possible to the low spot it likes to ride. I too have observed no problems when...

Have you tried repairing yours yet? Any of them that I've had worked again after reflowing the solder on the relays.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I was going to do the rack in one shot because I think the inner tie rod ends are in rough shape on both sides. I'll give it a go with just replacing those and if I...

    Steering Rack Replacement Choices?

What are my options for a new rack in my 89 CSX? Rock Auto is now out of the "new" ones they were selling. Any ideas? I see some remanufactured ones on there. Are any of them decent?

Re: 87 Turbo 1 engine rebuild and upgrade

If you're going to run a stock computer, or a DC computer, then I don't see that much of a problem sticking with the early TI setup. However, the support for TII style systems there, whereas the TI...

    Re: Rear wheel bearing issues

I've never had a hub that seemed machined.

I just did the rear wheel bearings on my 89 CSX and I believe it was a set 46.
