Where to buy SBEC chip adapter?

Looking for an adapter/converter that will allow me to use SST27SF512 chips in an SBEC. Trying to avoid the UV erase chips. Thanks!

    Re: 85' Lebaron GTS help??

Stock boost level should be around 7psi on your car.

As for inter cooling and upping the boost, first check out www.thedodgegarage.com and spend a few evenings reading through the turbo database. ...

Re: Intercooling an 88 Turbo I

Intercooling a '88 or newer T1 is straightforward, install your intercooler of choice and plumb it up! The PCM will work just fine, even though it lacks a charge temp sensor.

Re: 1st gen minivan window weatherstrip/seal

I ended up using some junkyard seals and cleaned them up with silicone spray. I did a test fit with a 2nd gen seal and it was about 3 inches too short when installed on a 1st gen van. I called...

    1st gen minivan window weatherstrip/seal

Does anyone know of a source for direct-fit side window weatherstripping? The seals in my 90 Voyager are shot and allowing water to leak in and collect inside my freshly redone rocker panels. These...

Re: Thoughts on a Jeep Grand Cherokee 2005

The 05-08 5.7 is rated at 330hp - 340hp and the 09-current is rated 370hp - 390hp depending upon application. The 09 and newer is referred to as the Eagle motor, as that was the internal name of...

Re: Thoughts on a Jeep Grand Cherokee 2005

The 3.7 is a good motor, but with three timing chains flinging around, it really taxes the engine oil. If the previous owner(s) were not good about having it changed, the engine will sludge. Listen...

Re: Alignment issue with my Ram pikup

If the caliper was hanging up enough to make the truck pull, you would have smoke pouring out from that side after driving for a few minutes. Inspect the front end for loose tie rods/ball joints, if...
  10. Re: Rough idling & Bogging when giving gas!! HELP!!!!

If you have a vacuum leak, then get that squared away before going further. On your '85 the MAP sensor has the longest vacuum line (it runs inside the cabin on the passenger side). Check/replace...

Re: quick question about 2 engines.

Yes the engines are the same. The transmissions are basically the same, but the '87 has upgraded internals, IIRC.

Re: need help after motor swap!!!!!

Cam timing is easy to check, it's been covered a million times on the forum. Quick search it.

These motors should have at least 100psi compression, did you add oil to each cylinder and recheck?

    Re: prime oil pump

Unplug the HEP or the ASD relay, cuts spark and fuel. Good for priming the oil and performing compression tests.

Re: need help after motor swap!!!!!

So it's a 2.2L with a 2.5L computer and +40 injectors? If so, I'm surprised it's even running with all that extra fuel! You need to swap out the +40 injectors for stock 2.2 T2 or 2.5 T1 injectors...

Is the air bag light on too? IIRC, it usually was the rear wiper motor that would cause the fuse to blow. Over time, they draw more amps due to wear and blow the fuse. If it happens "mid-wipe",...

Re: NON TD Fault Code - 98 Jeep Cherokee Sport

    Re: 413 Shifter Issue

Sounds like you pulled the manual shaft up just enough to disengage the detent spring when you removed the lever. Drop the valve body out and have a look, it'll be real obvious when you have it out.

You might want to remove the AIS from the throttle body and clean it off (make sure to clean out the port in the throttle body as well.) Any stored codes?
