Re: Spirit R/T registry from the mid 90's

It looks like you really took care of it well. I would love another 90 P body, but it must be 5 speed, and most likely I'll only pull the trigger on a silver one like I had. There was a comp package...

OK, it seemed to work, but I had to drop the file size below 2mb. That's a sad state of affairs in this modern world.

Thanks. That is good to know. I had assumed that, but didn't see it when I ordered the kit off of Amazon.

    Re: Oil in Coolant

Just ordered some MP bolts from TU. For the cost difference between those and the studs, I couldn't justify it for this car. Even if I only used the bolts once, I could still change them at least...

    Re: Oil in Coolant

Thanks. I'll probably spring for the studs this time. I'm going to try another felpro gasket, as this head and block are good thickness wise. We'll see how it goes. I just hope it's not something...

    Hopefully the pics work.

ETA: They didn't... They're not working for me either right now. This is beyond frustrating.

    Re: Oil in Coolant

I just got back in from checking the deck and head with a nice straight edge. It's pretty well flat across the head and block. I didn't see any problems with the deck like the pictures above showing...

    Re: 2.5 issues, wont start.

I would look in the timing window to see if the crank is spinning too,
  10. Re: 24 hours of LeMons race team video Project Log.......

I see. That would certainly do it. I would love to check that out in person. If you're racing closer this way some time, let me know. I can't quite make SC, but I'd drive a good distance to see you...
  11. Re: 24 hours of LeMons race team video Project Log.......

Congrats guys. What was the problem with the shifter cable? Were you losing the clip which holds it in place on the bracket, or was the cable coming off of the lever on the trans itself? I always...

    Re: Laser XE coming back

I think you keep us questioning what we're doing with our lives. I walked right outside and started working once I saw your pics. I made some good headway on one of the cars. SDAC is only a short...

    Re: Oil in Coolant

It's a 5 speed car, so that's out. Good call though, as I probably wouldn't think of it in my lonely auto car.

    Re: Oil in Coolant

Will it be obvious, or should I get out my fine toothed comb? Is it right on the top of the deck?

While I don't think installation error should be an issue with this one, I haven't ruled out a...

    Re: Oil in Coolant

That was my first thought when I let the bolts loose tonight. I do have a Starrett straight edge coming in the mail so I can more adequately check the flatness of head and block before I look at...

Interior Re: WTB: factory 80ís Mopar boost gauge

Is this for a Shadow? If so, you could bolt in one of the Shelby ones which are usually available on Ebay for about $50. If you're into that sort of thing, it's a good deal IMO.

Re: Spirit R/T registry from the mid 90's

Welcome to the site. I'm unaware of the fact that these even existed. That was all before my time, but I can say not a lot of VNT cars are around anymore. I'm waiting to find a silver 90 Shadow...

    Re: Wiper Motor and wiring

And even if you don't have it, there are only a couple wires which go to the wiper motor. It grounds through the mount, so make each one hot and see what you get out of it. I didn't think the 88 cars...

    Re: GTP intercooler change?

I thought there was some sort of algorithm which would produce the car number from the vin number? Is it just that I'm the only guy who doesn't have the list?
