Does anyone understand why they can't/won't make them? It just doesn't make any sense to me.
Has anyone ever compared the physical size, etc. of the A904 internals?

The hood would be the biggest savings. If you've already gutted the front bumper and header panel, then the cover is next. The fenders don't weigh anything.
That cage has been inspected? Very...
And just because one guy spun his engine to 9200 and broke something doesn't mean that the parts can't do it. Ramp rates, shape, spring pressure...blah blah...I'm probably preaching to the choir, can...
I wouldn't necessarily say there's no point in aftermarket cams in a TIII. I think, just as in any case, it depends on what you want out of the engine.
^^What he said :(
Awesome! Thanks for the rundown! Now I know why my car won't be that light! LOL I have WAY more crap I have to put in it, plus I'm keeping some amenities (even though it seems counter intuitive). Oh...
Since this thread has gone for a bit, would you mind reviewing all of the weight savings you have found?
+ 1,000,000,000,000,000 hp!!
More info on this, please...or just tell me to go look in the previous posts if it's there. :thumb: ;)
I got the "dial-a-death" from a air-cooled Porsche guy. Apparently that's the knickname given to the boost control knob that they would run on the race cars (it was a pretty big knob, too). From what...
How does milling the block affect block deck flex?
With being able to have very good control over the engine (well, and better engine technology all around), it's not uncommon to hear about...
Looks good! Did you pull the front fenders out a bit at the wheel wells?
Correct, not all of the possible weight transfer can happen until the suspension stops moving...be it that it is in equilibrium from opposing forces in its normal operating range, or that it bottoms...
I understand what you are trying to get at.
With the stiffness of the rear suspension, the wheelbase is what is critical here. You DO want a rear suspension that controls the squat of the car....
Ah...so you are using them as limiting straps because you are using air shocks that when filled extend the suspension to the point that it almost (and can) overextends.
I know a few of the "old...
What is the purpose of the rear suspension "lock-down"? Maybe I missed something in the build...
