  1. Re: 1986 Dodge Daytona Turbo Z T3 DOHC Tuned at FwdPerformance

The street car/grudge rules here don't let you tie your cage into anything good like you have there :( Even when the cars have hundreds of thousands of dollars into them.
  2. Re: 1986 Dodge Daytona Turbo Z T3 DOHC Tuned at FwdPerformance

How did you communicate with delta on that cam? They seem off and on, tiny local company.
  3. Re: 1986 Dodge Daytona Turbo Z T3 DOHC Tuned at FwdPerformance

Just an off thought, wondering if that would help prevent grenading the diff area of the case. Brake boosting with no actual power. He could maybe build more boost but the converter would actually be...
  4. Re: 1986 Dodge Daytona Turbo Z T3 DOHC Tuned at FwdPerformance

What has it been stalling at when launching?
  5. Re: 1986 Dodge Daytona Turbo Z T3 DOHC Tuned at FwdPerformance

I think with his MPH he would be very deep into the 10's with a decent 60'.
Here is Corby just breaking into the 10's on 100mph in the 1/8th. There are two guys doing 10.80's with 101 and 102mph.

  6. Re: 1986 Dodge Daytona Turbo Z T3 DOHC Tuned at FwdPerformance

Passing tech doesn't mean you are following the rules. I said before, the website is not the rulebook. If the real rulebook said that, that is an interesting change. What you are stating sounds like...
  7. Re: 1986 Dodge Daytona Turbo Z T3 DOHC Tuned at FwdPerformance

No plastic or keyed swiches. Of course we all have gotten away with things, sometimes for decades :P
I have had events where my hood was never even opened because it was a Dodge Spirit. My P body...
  8. Re: 1986 Dodge Daytona Turbo Z T3 DOHC Tuned at FwdPerformance

I think that is leaving out a few details like location so the safety crew can find it, instruction sticker, and metal construction. The nhra website is not the rulebook. People often share the real...
  9. Re: 1986 Dodge Daytona Turbo Z T3 DOHC Tuned at FwdPerformance

That switch doesn't look legit (plastic removable key?) plus is that even a legal location? I have mine behind my plate but looks like you have a lot of room for one beside yours. I just got out of...
  10. Re: 1986 Dodge Daytona Turbo Z T3 DOHC Tuned at FwdPerformance

That loss is almost a good thing with the lack of good transfer gears out there. High rpm motor bogging through 3rd is not cool.
  11. Re: 1986 Dodge Daytona Turbo Z T3 DOHC Tuned at FwdPerformance

If AJ was involved does that mean you went lockup?
  12. Re: 1986 Dodge Daytona Turbo Z T3 DOHC Tuned at FwdPerformance

Something seems wrong with Picture #2 unless this is purely staged or those are circuit slicks...
I do really love the looks of slicks on a car.
  13. Re: 1986 Dodge Daytona Turbo Z T3 DOHC Tuned at FwdPerformance

How do they get damaged so differently?
  14. Re: 1986 Dodge Daytona Turbo Z T3 DOHC Tuned at FwdPerformance

What else have you done to get down below 2000#? I am thinking you will be low 2000's.
  15. Re: 1986 Dodge Daytona Turbo Z T3 DOHC Tuned at FwdPerformance

Well to me that body rotation is just the energy of the engine going someplace besides accelerating. Once the car stops rotating (say you hit the bump stops) there is no more softening of the power...
  16. Re: 1986 Dodge Daytona Turbo Z T3 DOHC Tuned at FwdPerformance

When I tried to limit the rear end height I kept using the lightest parts I could and they would freakin snap every time before I made a pass for odd reasons like I was forced to drive off a curb for...
  17. Re: 1986 Dodge Daytona Turbo Z T3 DOHC Tuned at FwdPerformance

He is talking about chassis and engine movement, not sound. So you have posted a dyno chart? I wanna see :D

The part of the story where another R/T got parted out seems missing?
