It does seem like it should work OK. The radiator is a big custom unit. I had a 180° in it and I swapped it for a 195°. It ran even cooler! So I put a Mopar 185° , but I drilled it with a 1/16"...

All fixed - thanks for the help. Wrong balljoint apparently gnarled up the spindle. I used an 84 L body spindle from the yard and it fit.

The 84 will have 4 lug hubs so it won't be the right thing for you...
