Tell me more about this retrofit kit please.
Ok cool, mine is a long way from being back on the road. When I first bought it I had to fix a leak going to the external cooler it has now, and it looked pretty ragged.
What tranny cooler did you go with? I know I'll need one for my Daytona at some point.
Full rebuild time or just inspect the bottom end and maybe swap some bearings?
Shifts normal now?
Can you pop it into first with less effort if the engine isn't running?
It is good to know the facts and its educational, I did not know that those 3.0 cars in mostly stock trim with nitrous could manage anything near 12s.
For someone like me in California where I'm...
I'll get some pics of me next time I grab the envelope out of the garage. Sadly they are not from a turbo Mopar, they are from an 81 Honda Accord and a 78 Pontiac Grand Prix :eyebrows:
That's pretty cool, I still have a bunch of slips from when I spent every weekend at he drag strip in the mid 90s.
Pics and write up if you do it please.
So he's doing that after you told him to just refund and send the head back?
I have mine installed but I've noticed idling probs after going thru a car wash, I wonder if water is shooting thru my rad.
Is that the purpose of that cover?
You are only running big rubber up front?
I'll be watching this since I have a T1 suck thru setup and in that case pre TB is in front of the compressor. I've been thinking of getting a snow water injection kit and giving it a try.
I'll give that a +1
Isn't looking under the hood the same as a vehicle search, in which case you have to agree to it unless he thinks there is enough cause and makes you stand near his car while he goes thru yours?
Yeap, most cars go through it.
I saw some other episode that also had a turbo dodge in it like a new yorker or something and IIRC they just said it will clean up as a driver for someone but that was it. Nicer than calling it a...
I think 1975 is the cut off now for emissions testing in Cali. One of the reasons I don't really want to mess with any big conversions on my Daytona. Would rather keep it simple like use water...
sorry if I missed this, but after one of the failed start attempts did you pull a sparkplug and see if it had any wetness from fuel?
That would be an indicator that you are getting enough fuel...
Wow had no idea they are that heavy, makes me want to put mine is storage and stick something lighter in there.
Ok what came off in my hand was whiteish fiberglass like material with remnants of a backing that looked metallic so I guess that was it. I won't pick at it until I take the whole system part...
