Glad to see the follow-up on this.
OK, I just looked at my 91 Daytona, I has the same crash plate as my 84 Laser. Same door. and it is also "glued" in place. Hope this helps.
My 84 Laser had the crash panels Glued with some kind of structural adhesive. Don't know about other years.
It just dawned on me...…...Maybe we are talking about something different? I'm...
You don't have to cut the door apart to remove the impact bars. They are fastened to the outer panel with adhesive. The way I removed mine was to make a hot wire cutter; I fashioned two insulated T...
I don't know, I've anodized many parts myself and the largest dimensional increase I've measured was less than .0005.
It depends on the length of time in the bath and overall size of the part.
VERY nice numbers Mike!

Thanks Rob, How about you guys come out and meet me at BIR sometime??? Please...would be fun!

I shift at 8000-8200 RPM, highest recorded shift rpm for this engine was 9956 rpm. It likes to rev!
Oh, and I have a tach and shift lite but I never use them for shifting; I shift by ear and use...

That is the problem with bracket racing, unfinished time slips. I knew it was on a tear on that run. It was one of those deals where you do everything perfect, good straight burnout, perfect staging,...

Does the car have the 24 function voice monitor? If so, the car would have an oil level sensor as part of the dipstick. they used a two wire connector, I don't remember the wire colors, but I think...
Are the drums steel, or aluminum? You guys track test them first; If they don't explode I'm in. and so would be many other racers. Not in any way trying to be a smart a$$. I'm just cautious.
1984 T1 was 3/8, with Bosch pump. One year only. Good project, good luck.

As I recall, Stephan aka Frenchy had motorcycle rear brakes on his charger.
And how the hell did you get Reliant to only weigh 150lbs per rear wheel? the Laser weighs 350 each, with me in the car.
Gary, I've got to pass NHRA chassis cert., Four wheel brakes are mandatory on a door car. Also I do stationary burnouts, I need rear brks. to hold car in water box. I think I will have a hard time...
