LOL thanx turbovanman. I found out why i am not building boost there is a tapped hole for the egt gauge but no gauge or probe to fill it. When i got my big plume of smoke my oil pressure went down...
Ok knocking has stopped since it was the timing. Forgot my timing light when i went to start it up. So anywho now the thing has started smoking like crazy. No boost by the way only twice have i got...

Ok just rebuilt my engine with .20 over venoilas. Had a machine shop do the boring and all that lovely stuff. Has sat for a month or so and have been to scared to put it in my car cause i was afraid...

Ok when you are installing the front seal and rear seal what do you put on the outside diameter of the seal to make it stay in the retainer? I was looking in my chrysler book and it said some seal...
Well it was tight even before i tightened the connecting rods. No tighter when i tightened them either.
Its already been plastigauged. Everything is fine i was just worried about the tightness. Oil holes are pointed to the front of the engine. And the bearing notches are on the same side.
Ok i just installed my bearings and pistons. When i installed the main bearings the crank shaft spun really nice and easy. Then i popped the pistons in and didnt tighten the connecting rods beyond...
ok well it looks like oversized bearings for me. any cons to using OS?

Ok i just got my engine and crank (that he gave to me cause it is in perfect condition) And the crankshaft nose and sprocket is a different size? The sprocket just falls on that is how loose it is....
I just went online in canada and they have nothing under either of those titles. Anywho i will go in tommorow and use that part # and see what happens.

This is the synthetic assembly Lubricant is it ok to rebuild an engine and only use this as u put it all together. Or is the fact that it is synthetic a problem? Thanx let me know.
