    Re: JamesMonty's 85 GLH-Turbo project log

That sounds great. Not too loud either judging by the video. Should be great to cruise around in.

Glad it's helping people still. You can definitely get to the connector if you let the column drop down.

Re: 1989 Spirit HVAC Blower Not Working

It looks like the power comes through the fusible links and then through the ignition switch to the bus on the fuse block. I would check the fusible links first, then suck it up and drop down the...

I would check the fusible links. I'll see if I can find the diagram in my manuals today and post back up.

It always feels great when they're running that well, especially after being left dormant for a while.

    Re: Heater box foam

There seem to be quite a few places which sell the seals. I did a cursory search just now, and I couldn't find a complete kit with the bearing, clutch, etc. I'm sure they're out there though.

    Re: Heater box foam

I've only bought one replacement, and it was a middle of the road price on Rockauto. It seems to be holding up well in the minivan. I'm thinking about rebuilding a couple of them which I have on hand.

    Re: 555 problems

I would make sure the linkage is in good shape, and properly adjusted. If it goes into 2 and 4, but not the others, I think it almost has to be the adjustment. 2 and 4 are on different synchros.

Re: Conventional oils being phased out.

I've gone to the O'Reily conventional that they still have. I really wish there was something designed specifically to work with the later 1/2 synchro AND the 3/4 and 5 synchros.

    Re: Head Porting

I didn't CC the chambers, though I know I should have. I cut it back .250" on the first one, then made a template, and tried to match them. It passes fairly well by eye and feel in real life.

Thanks. I really wanted to make everything "perfect" as far as smoothing it out and ensuring that everything was as close to the same as possible, but I thought I had better quit while I'm ahead.

Re: L body rear wheel alignment

It has been a while, but I think once you pull off the hub, you can get to the bolts for the spindle part with no problem.

Re: Cold Enrichment Tables CurveA, B, and C

Any engine is going to be super rich on cold start when it's cold outside. The stock cals were this way too. You may be able to lean it out and have reliable starting and transition into the engine...
