For Sale Re: 1985 Omni GLH

GLWS. Let me know if you change your mind. I am interested, but I’m 1200 miles away and want to be sure the car runs before trekking out. Even better if the car can drive home.

I'll hop on the waiting list if anyone backs out or if it's possible to add another one to the order.

    Thanks!
  11. Re: P4452739 light weight starter, how much does it weight?

According to this ancient thread http://www.turbododge.com/forums/f7/f28/38303-ton-new-used-parts-mopar-mp-2.html, it is indeed a regular starter. Perhaps, when compared to earlier large Bosch...

    Re: Shadow Electrical Shakedown

That blue canister is for sure a starter solenoid (functions as a relay), off an older Ford. Unsure what the bus bar is for. Maybe a power source for aftermarket gauges.

Re: Omni GLH with big brakes problem

    +1 to solid rear discs.

From what I recall, the calipers are different on the 11" vented rear brakes vs the 10" solid discs. Rear pads are the same for both.

Re: 520 Transmission Oil for my DD

The synchromesh fluid is designed for transaxles originally requiring motor oil or ATF from the factory (it's factory fill for some newer GM and Chrysler units). I have used it for years without...

Re: 520 Transmission Oil for my DD

All of the above are good choices. I switched to Pennzoil Synchromesh in my daily and feel the shift quality improved somewhat, particularly when cold.

Regarding overfilling, if you jack the...

For appearances I prefer the Eagles, but for practicality, both in tire options and weight, the Prime wheels are a good choice.

I've sold several different Dorman control arm assemblies and didn't find the quality to be bad, but I guess your mileage may vary. Shucks that Moog and Mevotech don't offer a replacement for the...

Re: 4door l body window bushings.

I would also like to know of a solution for this. Usually I lubricate the window track in the spring and fall with a heavier lithium based grease. Seems to help it slide and reduce the amount of play.
