nice....how about the pics NOW? :)
is he keeping the trans? if not, someone should put a quaife or obx in it and run it again!
looks like mad skillz y00! :D
btw: did you just mount the trigger wheel with the 3 bolt holes on the damper that are also used for the puller bolts?
thats great to hear!! keep us updated on the billet gears.
i've heard that it tends to rotate, resulting in wrong ignition timing when having a trigger wheel on the crank.
keyed mine also, but had the crank out and did it on a mill....
thats exactly what i'm interested in ;) :D
is that damper a press fit on the crank?
JT, beside all that UDP talking, what do you think was the reason the OP gears broke?
JT, while you're at it, you might want to measure the depth of the UD pulley. I'm using an MPx UD pulley and when put on the crank it pushes the crank gear towards the oil pump. I remember beeing it...
i still find it hard to believe that just running no dampner (stock or fluid) could cause oil pump gear failures.
i've also read that people are breaking oil pump gears with stock pulleys...
in...
did you check your oil pump?
if you don't have pressure at the back of the block, you don't have it in the main oil galley - not so good ;)
what did you do to the alternator mount? pics? :)
+1
you want to hit MBT (minimum best torque).
if knock occurs while torque still increases (so before MBT is reached) back off timing 2-3 degrees to be safe and move on to the next load point.
...
dude, get out with some headphones and dial in your timing ;) there's TONs of potential in the map.
and you can even machine a '96 block and run them ;)
although i doubt that with the width auf those alum. rods you have enough clearance not hitting the squirters...someone check that please...
the squirtes spray oil on the bottom of the piston to cool it down a bit.
but the stock 2.4 pump flows 12cc and the srt4 flows 15cc...
is that 3cc that much in difference in oil pressure?
can't you go lower on boost because of your wastegate?
is FAST able to control boost depending on gears?
