To stop it from corroding in humid conditions. (like over winter cold storage) ;)
Trick is you gotta have the right paint or it will look like Poop!
BTW, Coming along nicely my friend!!!!!...
Sounds Interesting...….
"No 24.5" tires"? So what are you launching on these days? 22-23's?
Ha, I did Not know that! (but I do now :))
thanks!
Well just checked and it IS the NGK's we were running in the high HP 2.4 SRT-4's. For 500-600WHP NGK 4306 gapped from .024 - .028
Agreed, never had issues with NGK, I responded originally because I Thought JT was running, and having issues with Autolites! lol
I was going to put "8v test results Only", but I figured you'd get it :)
+ it's no mystery that different plugs work best in different applications. (case in point, A/C Delco's in GM products lol)...
I continue to have great success with the Champion 9yc's that Gus and/ or Gary originally recommended. The only other plug I've seen zero issues with is the same heat range (or maybe they were 1...
Every 8v I've ever seen running Autolites has had issues. Idle issues, spark break up issues ect. When you pull them, they always look like they are burning at different temps. (like you have miss...
Nice mph bro, and Really nice to see you back in the 10's!
Always bro! Was way better for me this year, but still, that clock alway seems to run too fast! Good luck with your current dilemma, looks like your in good hands..............
I don't think so, that doesn't make sense to me. It likes the 3.50 gears Before the 330', but by the time you shift into third the car is already moving with enough momentum that the 3.85FD Should be...
Ah, see I thought the 1.713 was the "missprint" and the 1.782 was the actual 60'. (someone quoted it in the times thread and showed the 60' as 1.782) The 1.713 makes more sense since your spinning so...
Here's how I see it;(I don't use the 1000' just to simplify things)
24.5/ 3.50FD
60'....1.806
.................................2.986
330'...4.792
.................................2.271...
JT, have you ever broken down your timeslips into time intervals to compare them? I find this to be the best way to see how well the changes are or are not helping the car to accelerate down the...
Always nice to see someone get a new PB, way to go bro!
^^^^This was the same conclusion we came to, IF the 568 becomes a weak point, time to upgrade to the T850.
BTW, nice write-up! Couldn't remember (seems like a long time ago) why we scrapped this...
JT, did you extend the pivot arm 1.5" like I showed in the pics I sent you? If not, you will have a very small window of engagement and the clutch will be like a switch, very hard to slip. If you...
The SRT-4 axles are definitely larger diam. and will Not go into a 568. (tried it years ago) I want to say that we also looked into the possibility of swapping the SRT-4 diff section/ring gear and...
lol I was just about to drop a post about all of the benefits of running an up-front fuel cell when I got that! :)
Was this at the same track? Bummer you couldn't get traction as there's not much to go on when that happens. Basically you know that the axles live when you don't cut 1.7x 60's :(
Good luck bro! I think if you could put a good chunk of it together one one solid run you could see a 10.4X. (fingers x'd) :)
JT, isn't your best 330' 4.62? Damn, your right there if you can get a good hook and Not break an axle you would have a new PB before year end!
JT, how are you coming off the clutch pedal? (ie. Snapping it off or dumping it?)
The only axle I sheared first time out on the solid hub disc I got exited and BTTW I dumped the clutch and Bam,...
Could be wrong, but I'm not aware of any True twin disc set-up that isn't solid hub. When I did all my research several years ago and contacted 5-6 different companys they all said solid. Sprung...
