    Not really, unless it was bearings whining, which then they likely wouldn't have much life left. I've set a few transmissions with the input shaft preloaded at .005-.010(Ed Peters or 5Digits stuff...

    Check the input shaft endplay. I know that mine is a little loose since I didn't have the correct shim and it whines under power but it silent off throttle; it's done that since day one.

    By proper break-in you mean start it up, check for leaks, then load it on the trailer; followed by a few starts in the staging lanes with a big ol 2nd gear burnout and all topped off by a 6k sidestep...

    If you put a helicoil in the end each time you tear it down it will be easier to keep track. Heck, the case might be getting to that point anyways... :p

    Yup they are the same. I'm using a 523 case in my R/T after machining the crank sensor hole.

    I noticed one big difference between the grey and natural colored plastic feeders from different 568s & 523s is the size of the hole in the center. The grey one is roughly 1/8-3/16" larger diameter....
