    keep the chain ends as short as possible on the load leveler i pulled my engine many times with the hood on, saves one extra step of having to put your hood back on, and aligning it to close properly...

    cut the head off a belhousing bolt and cut a slot into it to fit a screwdriver and use it as a stud to line up the engine to the belhousing the stud can be removed with a screwdriver

    kms tools used to sell a cheap load leveler turn the crank handle to add tilt front and rear of the engine i always left the hood on the charger good for you for even trying to do it with 1 hand!

    I agree with Randy on the timing belts many of us were using cast cranks me included 2.2 TBI crank failures were unheard of even Simon couldn't break one and he could break almost any thing lol

    on my G had I lapped big valves onto stock seats just to see the ring on the seats from the big valves then opened the seats and bowls to the ring line with a die grinder, worked great never dropped...

    I think swapping headgaskets would be a nightmare without the pins I always had to temove my head studs to be able to lift my heads off even on an egine stand, thats with the crappy ARP tapered...
