He can't alter the timing from the factory spec to lower the NOx, cali checks the timing on a smog.
+1 to the egr being the problem, check to make sure the egr passeges are not blocked with carbon.
what is your tire pressure set at? try lowering it a bit to help the tire bite more.
Its a mopar and its turbo'd, I don't see anything wrong with posting it here. We have a Cummins section too. It would make a great tow rig I bet. Free bump for ya.
I will not part it out yet.
It was on the list of things to do, I was going to take the entire suspension from the 89 shelby I have and put it under the 84, but no time to do that now:(
I'm moving to the Bay Area to work at our office in Palo Alto Ca. I am not sure I can find a place with enough space for all of my cars that is still affordable. It is not a far move, but as is I...
Come on, somebody take this off my hands before I have to remove all the goodies from it and send it to pick n pull:(
I have to sell my baby due to my work relocating me. I hate to but I will have no space for her anymore. Specs: 1984 Daytona Turbo, DC intercooler kit. +20 injectors, Walbro 255 fuel pump,...

Here is a forum about them, might find someone there that knows something about them.
Mopar has its own 100,000 mile coolant, I don't think it is as bad as the GM stuff thouogh.
okay, there is no relay in that circuit. contrary to what your dad said you will have to check the continuity between the switch and the solenoid. This is easy, just check for voltage at the...
i have an 84 service manual and will look it up for you.
i've checked with the dealers in my area and they say they should have them sometime next year, probably when the challenger comes out too. I'm not a big fan of the regular caliber, but I do want to...

But my FPR is mounted on the firewall so I can't really add much help...

sometimes the two tangs don't snap in place too, even though the terminal is all the way in, so carefully spread them apart to make sure they grab and lock nicely.
good thing your not in California, J-spec motor swaps don't fly to well here.
but thats 31 psi absolute. so 31 psi-14.7psi(atmoshphereic pressure)= 16.3psi
Hoosier Drag radials, the ones with two small grooves for tread. There is room for improvment, They still spin just a little, but I just need to let more air out, still running about 20-22psi in...
Did the LED come with a resistor? If not, even with it hooked up right you will be putting too much current through it and will burn it out. LED's need a resistor to act as a load device in the...
I dunno, I might try putting just the header on and seeing what kind of gains it gives me, kinda of a back to back testing thing. Gotta get out and make some all out clean runs to see what it will...
get a boost guage on it to see if it actually is overboost or not. A loose ground at the fuel rail bolt on the passenger side will act just like you describe. As for checking the actuator, if you...
