Parker industrial hose would be great, overkill but shouldn't be affected by the additives in the fuel these days, which I imagine played a role in the failure. ..
Good to see it's rolling down...

How's $26 for a pump sound? And it's an Airtex...

Airtex was our supplier at NOS for the booster pumps, and we had good luck with them, but I'd imagine any of the "name brand" pumps (Carter, Delphi, etc) would be fine for a stock replacement.
Mike
Anything is better than a failing/failed pump. Even a stock replacement you can get for cheap!
I'd go that way so you have a fun-ctional car for now, and you can upgrade later when you up the...
Pretty much just a newer style MAP, the one that's designed to be in the engine bay (like on a Mini Van, etc) with a pigtail that connects to the LM on one end and the "new" MAP on the other.
...
You've come a long way!
Over_boost is a very violent thing, so if what you experienced was not, that's probably not it. If it is, hook up your scan tool and see 8f the map/computer is reading...
The injectors would do well to be cleaned professionally, that is by someone who can disassemble them, install new screens and verify pattern, flow and balance.
We do tend to forget that they...
I assume it's not just the "normal" "hiccup" at idle, which is caused by the computer interrupting the program from time to time.
That being the case, I'd start with replacing all the secondary...
Check the other plugs too, it's too easy not to, and fits Murphys Law to a tee.

The driveability issues should get better the more you drive it, assuming the SDS, etc are working properly (which they seem to be).
No sure what the rattle would be, other than maybe something in...
Nice! Amazing how well things run when everything works (sds, etc) and is properly adjusted (cam timimg, ignition, etc)!
Mike
There is a pivot on top of the Trans that needs repair most likely.
There's a bushing there too that wears, but the post/pivot is the real fix...
Also, I'm assuming that the shifter has been...
Sounds like a plan! I didn't realize that the front end was off, defiantly a higher priority. ☺
Mike
That's a good reason to un-freeze a couple of hundos... I'd get in touch and see if he can get you the hoses, etc to make the conversion, it could be the most frugal way to get the car moved/on the...
Here's the Rad/IC set-up you need! He probably has the brackets, hoses, etc too, so it'd be a drop-in deal!

Keep up the good work! I expect videos of a nice smokey burn-out in short order!:eyebrows:
Mike
Congrats on getting a house, always nice to know the landlord is you, and your "rent" is building equity for you rather than someone else!
Unless you have the parts already, I'd stick with the...
If everything checks out, no need to pay someone to say "it's ok...", but if you have doubts, better safe than sorry.
Mike
Take a week or two off, don't let yourself get burnt out. A bit of vacation from a project can be the best thing for it (and you ).

Check the deck of the block to be sure there aren't any low spots that will kill the head gasket quickly. If there are, you'll need to fix that or face a never ending chain of blown head gaskets... ...
I lean toward choice 1., at least then you know what you have to work with, unless you come upon an engine for cheap that is in good shape, confirmed by a cursory disassembly.
It sure would be...
Big +1 to the O2 sensor, the added wires are for the heater circuit, which means it will come on-line sooner and stay there, with more accuracy and live longer if you run leaded gas from time to...
IIRC, the belt running too far away from the valve cover indicates too much tension, while the opposite is true for too little. The VSS should fix the stalling problem, it sounds like it might have...
Nice!
Good that she even knew about the Mustangs...
Cruising this weekend? ☺
