The ground for the sensors is connected to sensor return wire and not to an actual ground? I can't remember I think I'm using 5v source for mine.

Are you using the MS 5v reference for the crank and cam sensors?
I've used the 582 coils on multiple cars with MS without issue. You do need to set the dwell when you set the ECU up.
Did you change out the little fuse sensors for the diy ones?
Have you tried posting this issue on MS extra forum? It sounds like a flyback issue if it happens when the fuel pump shuts off.
I feel your pain. I've had excellent results with megasquirt. Twice I had problems one almost made me throw in the towel. Both times it was something I had done.
Agree those traces shouldn't do that. A little noise is expected but that's definitely switching. Is this a 3.0 or 3.57 board?
You are using cam and crank sensors? After you swapped out the sensors your original problem persists?
If so Can you scope the crank/cam signal at the ms?
what other components share the 5v...
Are you reusing any wiring or is it all new?
The tooth logs you posted are with key on engine off?
Are you using the new sensor?
I hear you. These are the worst problems to sort out. Is it losing sync in the log when it occurs?
I'll be interested to see you get it running. What engine is this on?
What MS are you using?
It was breaking up under load and losing sync. The diy sensor has no electronics other than the hall effect.
Ditch that sensor. Pony up for the diyautotune one. I had lots of funkiness using the little fuse sensor. Look at the literature that came with the sensor it's got some circuitry .. the ms doesn't...
Have you verified the return line back to the tank is good? I had a tbi car that sat for an extended period. New tank, pump, injector. It blew the injector out of the holder due to that line being...
You're using mega squirt? If so it's easy to burn the trace on the board between the pot and processor pin. Check with an ohm meter. You can jumper to the top of the processor pin if so.
Are you using any of the original wiring/hardware? I posted in your other thread what hall sensor are you using? These are the worst problems to fix.
What hall sensor are you using?
Yep I'm aware of the differences in the transmissions. I have a 93 with the 46rh. I have a replacement 47rh, adapter plate and starter. The harness for the 47rh is hard to find and stupid expensive....
Are these ECU's similar? Can I add pins to my existing 46rh connector for the additional inputs/outputs? Trying not to source an entire harness.
Nick doesn't do them. Rats
I just got the forward drum backing plate from him. I don't see the planetaries on his site. I'll send him an email and ask. Thanks.
I know this thread is 15 years old but I'm looking for part numbers for the torringtons used to do this. I contacted TCS they no longer make the parts. Any help appreciated.
Is this the same transmission that comes in the pt gt?
