    Re: Resource message

I feel like this is happening more now than before for me. Sometimes the site works fine. Sometimes I get that resource message and I can get it to work after refreshing the page a few times. ...

Re: 91 shadow 5M, what trans?

I'd expect a 523. I believe only the intercooled cars got the 568.

Re: 89 Turbo Van Bad HEP?

Maybe. It's the real quick millisecond-range drops that are hard or impossible to see on a multimeter. An oscilloscope will show you a very obvious dip in the graph.

Re: 89 Turbo Van Bad HEP?

As an experiment, I believe you can just shove a standard SPST relay in the existing harness. It won't be weatherproof, but it will definitely tell you if your factory relay is the issue. Get a good...

Re: 89 Turbo Van Bad HEP?

My 89 Daytona did this for a while and it drove me out of my mind. It ended up being an issue with the 14-pin connector on the SMEC. Turns out the wire insulation likes to break right where the...

Re: Tilt steering column bent while driving?!

I swapped a past Daytona years ago and seeing the two columns next to each other, you might question whether they're interchangeable because of how different they look. Luckily they were.

    In...

    Re: Hybrid 2.5L TIII build

Not trying to piss on a potential sale, but I believe he has a stock T2 turbo, which would have the irregular mounting flange.

    Re: Hybrid 2.5L TIII build

I can't comment on hybrid builds nor the exact dimensions of the K body engine bay, but regarding the intake, the Neon DOHC intake takes up a lot less room than the others. I doubt that the PT...

    Re: Hybrid 2.5L TIII build

The benefit of the SRT turbo is that it's a nice compact bolt-in package. I'm no welder, so it was an attractive option for me. It will work with the older 2.4L head. There's a perfect spot between...

    General Re: Daytona steering wheel

Rare to see on an 88, as the airbag was a late-in-the-year running change. It's the same as an 89.

It looks mint from the pictures. Good luck with the sale.

    Re: Hybrid 2.5L TIII build

Everything you said sounds like it was lifted straight out of a 1st gen cloud car. Unfortunately, none of it is SRT spec since they didn't exist back then. It's not the end of the world...

    Re: Hybrid 2.5L TIII build

Are there 8 exhaust studs or 10? Is the cam cover plastic or aluminum?

If I remember correctly, the non-turbo 2.4L cams have the same profiles as the turbo cams. I'm not sure why they would have...

Interior Tilt steering column for 1989 G/J body

Looking for a tilt steering column that will fit an 89 Daytona. I'm not sure which years will fit, but I'm nearly positive a Lebaron column is identical. Color doesn't matter, cruise control...

Re: Tilt steering column bent while driving?!

Thank you so much for the photos, clarification, and offer for the K-body part. Welding isn't something that I have easy access to, so I'm going to attempt to find the correct column first. I may...

Re: Tilt steering column bent while driving?!

I really appreciate you looking for me, however I'm seeing them on ebay for upwards of $400. If that's actually what these go for, this car will be sitting in its current state until at least next...

Re: Tilt steering column bent while driving?!

Thanks for the replies. I can still use the tilt function even with the wheel off-center, so it seems like whatever's going on is above the fulcrum point. I'm really hoping something's just loose,...

Tilt steering column bent while driving?!

Re: Knock volts versus degrees of retard

    [/QUOTE]

Well, that's an interesting tidbit. Currently I'm using my original knock sensor in my 2.4L. I wonder if that frequency is even correct for the 2.4L!

How the hell have I spent so...

That's a good idea. The loop on the clip makes it look like it was designed for that, heh.
