I've got an adjustable poly dogbone and can't find reasonably priced windshield sealant

Any thoughts on filling the gaps in the motor mounts with RTV instead of window sealant

the tranny was just rebuilt,no fluid in it.I drilled a 3/8 hole through the case and then used a 3/8 npt tap in the outer hole and a 3/8 plug.

I'd like to drill and tap my 523 for a drain plug'tranny is assembled. so I'd like to know where on the outside of case to drill?Thanks
