I picked up the cheaper valve off of ebay today. If that doesn't work, or fails, I'll go this route. My main concern has always been weight on the hoses causing leaks in the hard lines, but that...

I think the only way to do that is to cut out the center of the 3.85 ring gear piece, and essentially turn it into a 3.85FD that's the same style as the 3.50 units. I think someone on here did just...
I am looking for ever degree of cooling I can get. In the minivan the conversion to R-134 or Duster like I'm using doesn't do nearly as well as the R12 which the vehicle came with. That leaves a lot...
I don't want to buy another parts store valve, only to have it go bad just past the warranty period like my last one. Is Mopar PN:3848729 the same as the other heater bypass valves? I'm seeing...
Is there one type of heater bypass valve which holds up better than the rest? It looks like the 4 seasons unit, and the Murray unit are the same. I put one in our Voyager last year, and it's already...
Not to mention the fact that the 3.77 FD came with the gearset which is nearly as coarse as the Getrag units. Honestly, I think they came in the vast majority of Shadow America and the like in the...
For those having connector fitment problems, some Deutsch DT series connectors will take care of that very quickly with the proper tools. It wouldn't be bad to do it in car even.
I don't think it's the strength difference, but the gearing difference for most who aren't going that route. I don't want a 3.50 hybrid trans in my minivan for example.
That would have been nice for sure. As it is, I'll have to fix the tweaked upper rad support and install a whole new header panel area.
Fingers crossed. It was well taken care of, so I too have high hopes.
Thanks to Jim (dodgeman87) I brought home the Red Falcon in the wee hours of yesterday. The car had a bit of a fire, but Jim did a great job getting it mostly back together and looking great for what...
Thanks a ton. I ordered the parts from the link I posted just because I wanted to make sure to get the right thing the first time. I'll definitely go with them the next time if they're all the same...
Well, that took surprisingly little time. PN:6101283 Looks like they're still available from these guys. https://www.moparpartsgiant.com/parts-list/1987-dodge-lancer/electrical/battery_tray.html

Thanks. I'll see if I can find a PN somewhere.
I'm guessing those are China made? When there was some talk of DBB turbos for 1K I got pretty excited, but then Todd was able to bring me back down to earth.
I'm tired of using regular bolts with a nut on the back to hold my battery trays in place. Where do I get the clip which has the threaded portion attached to it? It would be nice to know what those...
As a follow up, here is the response from the guys at TI Automotive.
We offer a complete kit for that vehicle, it can be found on our website here:...
What are the problems they complain about? I've heard of guys complaining that with both wheels spinning in a FWD car due to an LSD, that it feels like it sucks the car away from the direction one...
Well, hopefully it was just the HEP, but that's a very strange HEP failure.
In the past, I think that would have been the end of the story. These days, I think there are too many guys who don't want to track down parts etc. and just want to keep their car on the road. I...
Do you have a cat on the car? If the turbo is really hot, and the car is not running well, it could be a clogged cat. I'm still thinking it's something mechanical though, due to the situation. Have...
Well, you can forget about those ever being made again. I doubt 50 would ever be sold if they were on the shelf today. Everyone talks a big game about wanting x, y, or z product, but they rarely step...
Out of curiosity, how many would need to be purchased?
Take up machining, and do both!
The SRT unit requires a lot of modification to make it work in the 523/568 units. I think only one person has done that, and he's a machinist.
The Quafe is a much nicer unit than the OBX, but...
