Re: Shift Cables for P body/A523

That won't be an issue. A ton of the Ebay short throw shifters for the Neons have the stud on the wrong side, which is our proper side.

Re: Knowledge Center Update - Brainstorm Thread

I would add that being easily searchable is key too. There was way too much stuff hidden in the old one, although that could be due to how it was configured and layered with the old vs. new stuff.

Re: 3D printing cylinder heads ???

That's a good question. I've mainly gone off of Todd's statements about the flow. I don't recall numbers.

Re: 3D printing cylinder heads ???

No doubt. I would rather go with a Masi head than a custom made cyl. head for just that reason.

Re: 3D printing cylinder heads ???

The stock head on the Maserati TC with the 16V engine allegedly flows more than ported TIII heads. It is also cam on bucket, so say goodbye to lifter problems. Need to turn crazy high RPM? OK, that's...

Re: 3D printing cylinder heads ???

For all that work, just run a Masi head and be done with it.

Re: Knowledge Center Update - Brainstorm Thread

I now have the capability to voice over my computer screen. I'll look into doing a how to video that would get most people up and running.

    Re: The Neon thread!

Is there a good way to set the timing on the SOHC cars without the covers? I'm fairly certain that I have the timing right, but I would like to verify it before bolting everything back together. I...

Re: Tilt steering column bent while driving?!

I can't imagine what would yield in the column, letting the whole thing to shift like that. I'll be very interested to see the root cause.

Re: 89 turbo mini van ....no spark

I had a similar problem with a car about two weeks ago. The distributor and the oil pump teeth were stripped. It would turn the dist enough that I thought it was working right, but if you watched it...

    Re: Rust protection

I coat it really heavily and let it sit. It does a good job of forming a lasting film, especially on the suspension of my cars. If you really want it to work well, I think you'll need to reapply once...

Re: 89 CSX No start when hot

Actually, I can't seem to find where it's located. What section is the injector latency in? Also, should I just use the 13v figure based off of that spreadsheet, 12v, or split the difference?

Re: 89 CSX No start when hot

I have not adjusted the latency at all. The fuel pressure is fine when hot, even when cranking from what I can see on the gauge. Anyone know the latency for the 83(?)lb injectors TU sells?

89 CSX No start when hot

This is car #42. It won't start when hot. It has spark, fuel pressure, and obviously air since it runs just fine when it's started cold. No codes at all.

    The hard parts:
    Ported two piece intake...
