    Re: Intermediate shaft woes

Here's the problem, though. I'm in the middle of moving to a new location that's 4.5 hours away. :( and I have no means of transporting the car, nor do I have a place to put it until I can get what I...

    Re: Intermediate shaft woes

To make matters worse, I'm in the middle of a move to a new installation that's 4 hours away! I can't find any rental places around here that will do a 1-way rental for both the towing vehicle and...

    Re: Intermediate shaft woes

Far as I can see, everything else is tip-top. Come on, the car only has 91,000 miles on it, and until I got it, it had a full maintenance record.

As far as the "tool" you're referring to, what do...

Re: Big turbo on an otherwise stock setup?

Speaking of diesels, the M113 APC uses a Garrett the almost the size of a volleyball to force-feed the HUGE diesel V6 that's in it. :thumb: I would love to see them put that powerplant in a car and...

  8. Re: Here we go again! - Oil pump carnage (w/ photos)

In that case, I will purchase a new oil pump, since the shaft can no longer be purchased new, and is much more expensive anyway.
  9. Re: Here we go again! - Oil pump carnage (w/ photos)

    Yours lasted until 145,000?? :thumb:

Mine only made it to 95,000 :(
  10. Re: Here we go again! - Oil pump carnage (w/ photos)

Well, when I took the timing belt cover off, the belt had walked its way into the cover, and worn the edge pretty badly, so maybe belt tension is to blame?

Boy, did I click the wrong thread!

  12. Re: Here we go again! - Oil pump carnage (w/ photos)

How much would you want for the used shaft? It will hold me over until I can afford a cryo-treated one, and a brand new pump.

Again, as far as I know, this is the original pump, and there were...
  13. Re: Here we go again! - Oil pump carnage (w/ photos)

Most of the metal bits ended up in the pan, and are big enough to get filtered out by the pick up screen.

I plan on running a quart or two of fresh oil through the engine with the pan off, before...
  14. Re: Here we go again! - Oil pump carnage (w/ photos)

That sucks. Intermediate shafts are a PITA to find around here.

Also, as far as I know, this is the original oil pump. And I plan on replacing it with an original Mopar part.. when I have the...
  15. Here we go again! - Oil pump carnage (w/ photos)

I was just driving down the autobahn on wednesday, and BANG, loud pop out the exhaust pipe, and the car cuts out. I manage to coast it into the breakdown pull-off, and it won't start back up!

    I...

Re: 3 melted pistons , still good ?

did you have any way of monitoring your air/fuel or EGT's? If not, I would buy and install one before you get that engine running again.

    Thanks.

I'll go pick up some new vaccum hose tomorrow, and re-work the lines like you said. I will post results when I have them. :)

Re: 87 shelby charger - smoked tail lights

Not to sound like a jerk, but I think you should choose a different style of muffler, if you're concerned about looks. I bet that thing resonates pretty loudly inside the car, too. Since it doesn't...

    Re: Help! TII, Code 13

I just went out and checked all the vacuum hoses again, just in case I missed one, and I did. The main hose that goes into the intake manifold had a nice crack in the bottom of it, right where I...

    Help! TII, Code 13

  25. FS: Euro-Spec P-body Headlights and Mirrors
