Well, I had been saving these parts for another turbo dodge build...
I kinda like that stud idea!
I'll take one
Exactly. With the mopar gasket stock depletion and getting very difficult to find, it's pretty good timing that felpro fixed their design and it's just as cheap as the mopar gaskets used to be.
He says he loaned out critical tools for the job, well OK so he couldn't port the head, at least ship it back....hence the title of this thread.
Yeah I had the head checked for cracks in case that was the cause, but the head was fine so it's kind of a mystery. Perhaps a bad head bolt or something, it got fatigued over time enough to let the...
Cam timing was right on.
Ended up just pulling the head then, and found this! Mystery solved. Kind of odd to blow between cylinders.

AJ- You're theory of exhaust out flowing...
Now that I cannot argue with  haha
Really, name calling? Thats mature.
I seem to recall you porting more than just the head face side of the manifold, but I guess that doesn't fit into your narrative very well.
The underlying...
By the looks of how many times the carbide bit skipped out of the ports and hit the flanges, I'd say none of them.
I've ported plenty of stock manifolds with bad core shift that left the edge thinner than that. Should have no problem sealing at all.
Besides, just looking at the pics, you scraped up the flange...
PM sent.
