    Re: 41TE/604 operated by Megasquirt

Yeah, not until the 68RFE in the diesel was it anywhere similar to the 41TE/604. 45RFE and 545RFE were more closely related.

Look at the 40/41TES. From what I saw, it's the same Trans with added line pressure control.

That sucks. Doesn't sound like they want to put forth any effort, even in replying.

    Re: 41TE/604 operated by Megasquirt

I'd hope it would be cheaper for a beta product, but for one that's fully tested and proven and plug and play, like the 6R80 is, it's not a bad deal. We are paying $1300+ for converters, $400+ for...

    Re: 41TE/604 operated by Megasquirt

The price is pretty steep at ~$1200, but that is also for a fully supported and tested product with a plug and play harness and a warranty.

That'll control it if you can work with the manufacturer for support.

Re: Possible A413/31TH Billet Input Shaft Group Buy

I used to have a 8" or so billet lockup converter, Kia based I believe, built at Pat's Transmission in PA. Steve Lockett had it made back then. It supposedly held for him at around 500hp. I never got...

    Re: A413 Trans Brake

A-1 Performance for his converters. I picked one up a year ago and still haven't gotten the Trans and car together to see how it does. :(
  9. Re: Possible A413/31TH Billet Output Shaft Group Buy!

I'd be interested in a price.

  11. Re: Replacing thrust washers with Torrington thrust bearings

I expect your planetary to break next. I'd just get a caged bearing and do it right. You should only need around .050" off the shell from memory.

Re: Possible A413/31TH Billet Input Shaft Group Buy

The shorter shafts from Dakota/boots were made by a different person, not from Donato, according to Dakota.

I couldn't fit 2 roto-clips on the shaft after installing either. I settled on using 1...

Re: Possible A413/31TH Billet Input Shaft Group Buy

I had the drum measured with real tools at a machine shop and the shaft turned down to fit. I also had the thrust end polished, since it had been center punched 4 times to "number" it. The shaft was...
  14. Re: Group Buy Pre-Orders for TU Limited Slip Differentials

I get a 404 error from the link to the site.

I'm curious how different, if any, are the units for the A413 from the NVT350 units and if they make for an easier install.

Re: Possible A413/31TH Billet Input Shaft Group Buy

Just wanted to pop in and say/ask about these shafts.

I have one from a previous batch, I purchased through Facebook transactions with Kevin W. and Dakota M.(boots). My shaft may or may not be...

Poll: Re: Interest: A413 OBX/Quaife Spacers....

It's steel, because we did a 24 hole spacer. I'm not sure exactly what material it is, as I'm not the machinist. I left that to my uncle who did it for me. We did the 24 hole because it was much...

That's basically what I has to go off of also, but it's still missing some measurements, like bolt circle.

Poll: Re: Interest: A413 OBX/Quaife Spacers....

No answer. I found some "drawings" that were missing some specs, but really just ended up making a 1 off steel 24 hole spacer from measurements taken off the OBX and stock diff.

    I tried replying...

Re: What bearings for OBX in a late model a413?

    Gotcha.

I may be able to get a sleeve machined up for the difference in ID and still use the later bearing and retainer...?

Re: What bearings for OBX in a late model a413?

Yes, I know the Peloquin does. If you want to give me another $750, I'll gladly sell this OBX and buy a Peloquin.

Re: What bearings for OBX in a late model a413?

If there's no issues with strength, wear or failure, I don't mind just sourcing a new small bearing retainer, I just thought it was upgraded for strength. Both the diff and the retainer were changed...

What bearings for OBX in a late model a413?

I've picked up a NOS OBX that's been gone through by TU and I'm getting a ring gear spacer made. What I'm having trouble finding is what bearings I need to use on each end.

    The passenger side...
  23. Re: SEVERE binding on 2-1 downshift after full manual VB mod

There is a modification done to my Killback RMVB that either allows engine braking in 1st or not by shimming one of the valves under the outer plate. I posted about it in a thread around here...

    Re: 41TE/604 operated by Megasquirt

I'm interested in attempting to run a 41TE behind a ~500hp 2.4L, but like AJ, I have a NGC crank trigger pattern that I'm not sure how any older TCM would work with. If there's any TCM that only...
