The power driver's seat in my '85 Konvertible just made some loud cracking sounds and now I'm always laying back like a gangster.

FWIW, I've got the braided lines from Cindy on my Konvertible and I like 'em a lot. I'm sure the ones from Chris are fine, too. :-)

It's been a long time since I read the page about your Z, Russ. Reading it again, particularly the dates, makes me not feel so bad about the progress I'm making with the Konvertible. Your Daytona is...

    Levelness?

How level is everyone's car? How level do you want your car to be, and how can you achieve it?

I have newly-rebuilt 89 Daytona Shelby suspension with Konis and Eibachs on my Konvertible. The rear...

    Core Support advice

The core support in my Konvertible is trash, which explains the "intake manifold hitting the heater hoses under torque" problem.

Looking at it from side-to-side, it bows up about 3/4" in the...

    Re: The Floorpan Fix

Does anybody have any solid information about the build sheets from 1985? I was told they live under the carpet in the back, passenger side.

    The Floorpan Fix

Just thought I'd share some pics of the work I'll be doing on my convertible. I apoligize for the quality; they were taken with my camera phone.

    Master Cylinder 'blowby' ruins booster?

That master cylinder has gotten worse, and it's getting replaced now instead of later, money be dammed.

That said: it's been seeping a bit out the end where it attaches to the brake booster....

    Re: Boiling brake fluid?

Allright. This one is a "new" (original, but never rebuilt) and the pedal is as hard as the Rock of Gibraltar. With either gentle pressure or "as hard as I can push" it just stays put.

    I think...

    Re: Boiling brake fluid?

One thing I did find is that one of the fittings on the prop valve was weeping. If it can let fluid out, I'm sure it can let air in, too... When I bled that line, there was tons of air in it....

My prop valve doesn't produce any fluid at the rear (pass front brake) output!

Is there any way I can take this prop valve apart and maybe clean it, or am I totally stuck getting a new one?
