Re: 3D printing cylinder heads ???

    https://all3dp.com/2/how-much-do-3d-printer-materials-cost/

$4000-$5000 to print in metal. That does not include the cost to have 3D design made.

Re: ideas on long term MTX storage

If itís on a shelf in a clean, dry garage, it should be fine as is. I spray down the innards of rebuilds with Sta-Bil engine fogger just to keep a coat of oil on it.

The 88 cals on page one of this thread should work. Part numbers were superceded several times.

Did it run when they dropped it off?
From what you described, it sounds like a wiring ---- show. I would point it out the door or Youíll be married to it for life.

It held up well on my GLH. I didn't drive the car in a Wisconsin winter, but 3 season use was fine.

    Re: Floor Pan Restoration

Make your own and weld them solid. The floor ties the unitized structure together. If itís not solid, youíre losing structural integrity. It makes a big difference if you auto cross or get in a crash.

Re: Shadow / CSX-T rear suspension resto help

The nuts are welded into the rear frame rails. You can cut open the floor and heat the bolts of needed. I would soak the bolts with penetrating oil for a couple days and slowly back them out.

    Re: Intermediate shaft machining

The only way to fix it so it lasts is to have a race made and attached to the shaft. People have tried cutting, grinding, welding etc. It does not hold up and fails in a short amount of time.

    Re: Lizard Skin

I used it on my GLH and CSX a few years ago. I did the inside of the quarters, doors and roof as well. Great products! Much lighter than Dynamat with better results.
