  1. Re: Radiator fan not coming on with a/c unless manually spun

Definitely swap it out. And you're a braver man than me. Spinning an electric fan by hand, that if operating properly, should remove or at least injure whatever you place in it's way. Those blades...

Re: Silent Exhaust. How do I get it?

Do you have any pics of how you installed them? Or maybe a description. I'm with you on the Omni being too loud. I'd also like to quiet down my Omni. The straight through bullet muffler is very...

    Re: Heater Core WTF?!?!?!?

You can also try putting a restrictor in the intake side of the heater core. Ford did this to keep cars from popping their heater cores. A washer of the appropriate size would create enough of a...

Re: Smoke out the tailpipe. Source?

Make sure the oil return is completely free of obstruction. If the oil can't drain properly, it can cause smoking issues. If you used any sealer, it can restrict the line and cause problems.
    Why not...

  6. Re: 86 omni glh, front strut mount and clunking sound help

I don't remember the car even having isolators for the spring perches. it doesn't have them now. Does anyone sell them? I did a quick search, but had no luck

  7. 86 omni glh, front strut mount and clunking sound help

I replaced all of my glh's suspension up front years ago. Van control arms, new bushings, tie rod ends ( outer), struts, and ball joints. I tried to replace the strut mounts but they didn't seem to...

    Re: 4-wire O2

I'm pretty certain you are right about the wiring for a 4 wire O2 sensor. My omni originally had a 1 wire sensor. I bought a 4 wire sensor from a 90's voyager and added 3 wires. If I remember...

Re: Help needed in the Detroit area.

^^^ I agree. I was out of cars with a new car w/a warranty when I was given my glht. I failed the 1st time I tried to get it running. Fast forward 8 yrs and I told myself " it will run or I'm...

Thanks for all the advice guys!
I am not new to clutches or autos. I recently rebuilt a th400 that works fine. It was more difficult than I thought it would be from videos I watched, but I was...
  13. Van 5 speed conversion parts, are 1st and 2nd gen parts interchangeable?

I am considering buying a turbo van. At the same time, I found a 5 speed (1994) van in the JY.
    1. Will 2nd gen clutch/brake pedal assembly fit in a gen 1?
    2. Do I need to get all of the...

Re: Omni GLH Turbo cross country (maintenance...)

You could bring tons of parts and still not have what breaks.
I would suggest a spare fuel pump that you know works. On the road, you would be stuck with a parts store pump and maybe at the whim of...

Wanted Re: Neon SRT-4 needing work

I was thinking of getting one, but the same issue plagues most of the srt's here as well. There's one here asking $8k with minimal mods (his terminology), not sure I would agree. Of course at the end...

Try swapping the #3 injector to a different cylinder and see if the problem follows it. Code 52 means the ecu can't componsate for a pig rich condition. It probably runs rough due to being too rich....

    Re: Battery relocation fuse info

If you want to be cheap, ford in the 90's came with a mega fuse like you showed, rated at 175 amps.
It was used for the alternator, and is usually attached to the fuse box or near the battery.
