Re: Walbro 255 Fuel Pump into 86 GLHS

My understanding is that the diff between tanks (turbo/NA), and this may have become a production change, is that the turbo tanks have the "anti-slosh" dish inside them.

They had to do that as the...

Re: Billet forward and direct drums

I agree, 7075 is a good choice, and since the part is restricted in its dimensions so as to fit in the same place, a stronger, yet lighter material is a great choice.

    More strength, less...

Re: Billet forward and direct drums

Just to be clear, the certifications that trace the manufacturing process (from ore, to the heat the material was made from), don't have a bearing on the actual grade of the material (7075 vs 6061,...

Re: Billet forward and direct drums

7050 Al has the same basic strength as mild steel, which is why it's use in proper AN fittings and as the proper material for AR upper and lower receivers.

It doesn't anodize as nicely (at least...

Sound control usually means weight, what do you estimate the weight gain to be?

  11. Re: Flow rate of +40 injectors and 5277895 (TII-TIV injectors)

Shall we muddy the waters a bit more?:-)

Not only can/will injectors vary in max flow rate within a batch/size, but their rate @ a particular duty cycle can vary, even if they are "batch matched"...

    Re: 93 A523 transmisson question.

Lots of "racing oils" have the zinc in them, which is one of the reasons they list them as "racing oils". That way, if you put it in your modern car with O2 and Cats, and they get poisoned, that's...

Re: Spirit R/T wheel offset confusion

If you have the wheels, mock them up and see what you really get.

Re: Billet forward and direct drums

That's encouraging, it has been my experience that tolerance "stack-up" and sloppy fitment tends to make stuff break that otherwise could survive.

  22. Re: TU working with Ken@5 Digits to offer Calibrations, but, is there demand?

  23. Re: TU working with Ken@5 Digits to offer Calibrations, but, is there demand?

This sounds very intriguing, I can imagine that with the limitations of OBD and other maintenance overhead/restrictions, that not only could power/driveability be optimized, but so could mileage!

  24. Re: TU working with Ken@5 Digits to offer Calibrations, but, is there demand?

Sounds a bit daunting, so many potential combos for a "canned" tune (variations in intakes, cams, head porting, etc).

Would the adaptives be capable of adjusting to those variations? Seems doable...
