  1. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

How exactly will this save on wiring? Just run one fused (If you really want a fuse/safety before the relay) 30 amp relay and then after your feed wire splits add in two 10 amp fuses. I don't think...
  2. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

already putting wheels on the car he can't drive.... hah.

Since the car is a money pit I would get the basics fixed before going too far with anything fun. Get the car driving to you can confirm...

TPS is also useful for interpreting datalogs.
  4. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

Nice to have megasquirt when the TPS sensor changes. I know some people here say "it works" on stock electronics but they are not very close when you look at them on MS.
  5. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

Yeah, the only purpose of the weld was to create and interference fit on my steel runners to the cut off upper aluminum flange. I would have had a steel flange made but when I was getting materials...
  6. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

The Junkyard has 6L right now but I would probably go slightly smaller (4.5-5L?) if I had to save space. I think calculation wise the runner ID is only 1.38" in the slight velocity stacks and this is...
  7. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

OP Joe sure dyno'd. Before and after :D Would have been awesome to see a dyno after cams with some fuel on the same boost as he ran on stock cams.

After getting a PM from someone on 3si who...
  8. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

I would think the rippmod stuff is comparable, I would assume they used vortech blowers. So there are actually quite a few half built/failed projects out there and a few running ones. The only...
  9. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

    buy mo' P body

Not sure what parts I could use....since they are already junked.
  10. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

I vote for dyno fund pool.
    $10?
  11. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

Think you had a cam seal fall out from poor installation? I have had the one in the distributor housing falling out before, my fault.
  12. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

I want to run music with one but I don't know what I have to use to power the speakers etc while avoiding having an actual radio :P Like a race stereo :o

To get data from it you can just...
  13. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

I guess the worst that could happen is you have to boot up the phone after turning the key on if you didn't drive for awhile. I have a spare T959 that gets to live in my Duster I guess :D
    Is that...
  14. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

The problem I see with a dash setup is powering on/off. Killing your battery or always waiting for shutdown/startup.
  15. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

I think that MSdroid guy is from Utah too so I probably know someone who knows him :P I didn't ask around yet. I guess I can go buy all those bluetooth goodies now. My laptop battery is complete...
  16. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

Well the cams probably ruined his VE table near idle rpms so AFR would have been off by 10-30%. Thats not saying its perfect now :P
  17. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

Clearances are one thing but I do agree it is hard to go too far with cams performance wise.

My big cams with a 1.5 ratio rocker got maybe .5 to 1 mpg less driving to work, if that. Stock ecu,...
  18. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

You are just talking about the contact patch of the roller moving from one side of the lobe to the other and thus touching a different part of the roller. I think that is taken into account in the...
  19. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

Rocker ratio is definitely at least 1.6. Sorry for those who disagree.
  20. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

    How about a 6g72SKB
Some of those screw blowers are pretty tempting if you had a motor that could handle the torque (not something I want to try on stock rods if you want to push 600-1000ft/lb).
  21. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

Well 6g72tt is not a real engine designation, just something we all made up. I run a 6g72TH on my daily :P
In JDM speak, it means fast. SR20de vs sr20det (except those are real engine designations...
  22. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

Conquest is ....already out of parts so I don't get that one. Obviously they still keep moving along. Subaru front end (will probably go this route on at least one car) and then something else later....
  23. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

I would just keep walbro in tank and 044 inline, stock tank etc. Thats good for everything you need and more. I don't think I like the fuel pump chart above because it seems more like a guess. By...
  24. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

A lot weaker IMO. I went a little crazy. i took them out near to my planned bore size for the +.096 overbore I had in the forged shorblock. I still have the tracing template in a folder in the...
  25. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

Was happy to see it on facebook. I would be happy with the results based on what went in. Probably healthier then my Holset Spirit. Side note about headgaskets. I also tried copper wire on an old...
