Thanks for the info 89Shelby Guy.
Two days and no posts??
No one is brave enough to just go for it and see what happens? ;)
Yup the cover is what we're talking about. Right where you have your knife stuck in.
Well start yanking on the maroon visor. And don't forget pics of the carnage.
Turbodave thanks for trying.
Pulled out the Chrysler parts book to see if the visor had a parts explosion diagram but no such luck. The visors were sold as a complete assembly.
Lets see what turbodave can come up with. Stay...
Please do :thumb:
If I had a spare I would already have just pulled on it until something gave way but with no spares I know Murphys law will bite me if I try to find one in the junkyard.
Nobody here has ever recovered their sunvisors?
I'm either going to start pulling until something breaks or go to that other site. Neither of these sound appealing to me.
Here's a close up pic of the mirror cover. What I'm trying to figure out is how does the gray outer plastic seperate from the black plastic.
The headliner material goes between the gray outer ring...
Here's a pic of the mirror with the headliner material still attached. I want to replace the material with some new material.
I know how to remove the mirror from the visor but am wondering how to seperate the lid/cover so I can install some new headliner material on the mirror.
Look at picture below. Headliner material...
Funny how you keep flip-flopping as one minute he's your friend the next minute he's some guy. One minute you're going to post pics and the next minute its another excuse why you can't post pics.
...
Most parts if not all parts are also available thru the aftermarket in case your dealer strikes out.
Is there a reason you refuse to post pics?
How about vin #'s for the folks that want to run Carfax to see if they are salvage cars?
Someone emailed me about a 1989 CSX they just picked up and according to the Shelby records this CSX was held back by Shelby Automobiles for internal use.
The records don't specify why it was held...
I have to agree with that since his auction description specs are a little optimistic.
On another note the sellers feedback is not the best with over 200 negative & neutrals. Plus $40 shipping is...
Running rich doesn't mean a wet looking plug. Running rich will be a dry charcoal coating that is failing to burn off during the combustion process. Check what plug you are running and we can go from...
It's running pig rich as they say.
What spark plugs are you using? Sounds like you need a hotter plug.
ProStreet you are in a bad position.
The claim he filed with Paypal was it for non-receipt or for not as described?
If the claim was for not as described the odds are that Paypal will decide in...
Probably the best way to get that trim out with little to no damage to the trim is to first break the window glass then remove the interior door panel and start stripping the guts out of the door.

L bodies have their own intercooler just like P bodies have their own.
Looks like the TC holds the record for using two different ones depending on the engine.
Lets make a list:
1) L body....
From the 1989 Chrysler Parts Catalog:
4266978 Daytona LeBaron Lancer
4401021 Masi TC 8v
4425175 Masi TC 16v
TC's are really strange animals. At times it seems like the Italians changed...
ebay auction number?
I'm guessing that means you don't own the cars?
What about the titles. Are they going to be in your name?
L body radiators are different than a G body radiator. L bodies have a heater hose nipple on the tank for starters.
If John doesn't care about an exact plug'n'play fit he would be better off...
Intercooler is different. Mounting is different. Radiator may be the same as a LeBaron but I wouldn't count on it.
For a car that looks so much like a LeBaron its amazing how little of the parts...
