The tach does drop, I'm gonna be working on it tomorrow and if the LM doesn't do it I was already planning on swapping in whatever spare distributor pieces I've got. Ill let you know what I find.

Sorry, I was incorrect. My 84 Charger's is slightly different. This is the same shifter housing in my friend's 84 Rampage, not the Charger.
