Hello Wowzer et al,
I have completed version 2 and double check parts/modules placement the other day. I just need to produce and check the Gerbers files that are required by the PCB houses. I have received all the components to produce a first run of 10 units. I expect to place the board order over the new few days
The "natives" are getting restless... (can i say "natives"? I mean native turbo-mopar owners...)
Especially if i can sufficiently explain and showcase some features of the prototype. I planned on getting more video, but been busy, and i need a better camera.
My thought for SDAC was to see if i could screen mirror/cast to a larger screen for demonstration purposes. If there is enough interest. If not i can just show the individuals in a smaller group.
Whatever you do, throw it up on youtube for the rest of the unwashed masses to see!
So by a show of hands, how many folks attending SDAC are interested in seeing a demo of the prototype?
And since all the post traffic seems to be on FB, those that aren't watching here might miss out.
I'll be happy to try and demo this and answer questions within my technical ability, but I'd like to do it in some sort of group, rather than several times individually.
And if there's no interest with those in attendance, that is fine too.
This won't be an officially SDAC sanctioned tech session anyway...
It's just the next progression in the MPSuite platform.
What we need is Billy Mays...
The PCBs have shipped today from China via courier
Can anyone give me a tldr of this? I am a total noob when it comes to tuning but want to start learning. It seems like it gives you Bluetooth connectivity so you can look at data and record data, it also records data without hooking up to anything, and it can display data that say a laptop can't via analog outputs? Is that correct?
see post #1. the device can remain in the car so you can log/flash without a laptop or phone. it connects to a tablet/phone/pc via bluetooth. it also has the ability to connect up to 4 additional 0-5v external analog inputs, e.g. egt, wideband, etc. designed to be used with mpscandroid.
Oh ok so I can hook my aem wideband to it and it will show the data and record it along with the data the LM would show? What all would I need to make it work? The box and a cable to connect to the datalink connector?
yes, the external analog input data would be logged along with the lm ecu data. if you are going to sdac 27 then wayne hemmingway will have a prototype unit there to show. if not, i am sure there will be demos/explanations as soon as the version 2 boards are received, assembled and made available to users.
I live a few hours from Wayne. One of these days we will have a SC/NC meet and I can check it out.
I'm at SDAC 27 in Detroit (Pontiac ) i'll try and demo for anyone interested. So far, only 1 has shown interest that i know of.
It's crazy to think people wouldn't be interested in this. It brings tuning these cars to the next level really. What's the ballpark price on how much this thing would cost?

I remember at one point Cindy had those trim Cal's that had a display and could show data and stuff. Never seen one and she stopped doing those because they weren't that popular.
I'm not going, but I wanna see it. Live steam a video on the sdac facebook group or something so everyone can see it?
Any progress?
miles (chromguy) has been in japan for several weeks. he did get the new boards in right before he left. should be back in a week or so. hopefully will have time to assemble a couple so he/i can test. he'll need to update us on the progress when he has a chance.
FYI, my testing on my prototype is suspended while Mini is at the shop.
I can test some functions of mpscandroid, but no logging until the van is back.
