Parachute and mounts for project photo archive....
If I did not live in such a liberal communist state that was always trying at every opportunity to made guns illegal or more bs to buy them I would have so much more time and money to stare at my stuff and feel motivated to actually do something like this thread has shown.
First test pass at BIR. Shattered a lash cap before the 1/8 mile cone, Lifted and re-stomped the throttle; ran the second half track on three cylinders.https://youtu.be/xF9o-fDNt_Q
Is that a pull the engine and clean it all out type of situation? That's a heck of a time for 3 cyls in the second half of the 1/4.
No, I carry spare parts; And have screens and magnets on cyl. head drain back holes, caught the debris, pulled the v/c and replaced lash cap. Ran a nine and then it broke two roller followers, same cyl.(never happened before) fixed it again and went nines. Density altitude was over 4500ft. so no PB.
Well, that's great to hear. Congrats on the very consistent times.
Figured out what caused the shattered lash cap and broken followers. #1 exhaust valve had sticking guide; valve stem was seizing in the guide which caused the follower to break and collide with the intake and break that one also.
got the valve stem free'd-up, didn't have to remove the head. Will be good to go.
Nice!
